The article is worth a read. It's by Brandon Jack, and it's more about the media coverage and overdone sensationalism - It doesn't say anything about doing coke is all totally fine, just puts it in perspective.

Drug dealing is such a weird thing. Knew a bloke who did years for manufacturing/trafficking. Another unrelated bloke who was from a very famous family, who escaped by the skin of his teeth. Both were around the same age as Joel but both from incredibly wealthy families. As a poor campaigner from a migrant family I could never understand risking your freedom and potentially pissing away all the advantages you have by selling literal pounds of gear.

I'm coming around to your idea of Buckley as a replacement.

This group needs someone who can actually get them in line but also knows how to build the relationships and respect. Knows how to handle the media too.

You forget that while Buckley was the coach of Collingwood a story came out that 11 of their players tested positive for recreational drugs in the offseason but short memories
