Wish young WiPhi well, hopefully this can be his opportunity to finally click into place or if it doesn’t, the young man has enough time to decide on his future career

Is not as professional as everyone seems to believe. My take is he’s burnt out.
This has nothing to doing with being profressional. The end of the season could not have come sooner for him...Now he will have time to freshen up and hopefully attack next season head on. He was very quiet and reserved last time we spoke and not his usual self. So yeh he was probibly burnt out..

The concern is that he was not any better at the start of the year, after an uninterrupted preseason. Wasn't in the round one team for the second year in a row. Hopefully what he heard at his exit meeting gets him moving.

Been reliably informed that he has offers on the table from Richmond & Geelong, along with our 1 year deal. Not idea on length from either of those other clubs though. Surprised Geelong are in the market consider they have a similar type in George Stevens, Parfitt, Knevitt, Bowes, Atkins, Clark, Clohesy kicking around in the two's.
Sorry RF08

Good mail on this.

There was indeed longer term offers on the table but they were knocked back well over a week ago.

Kid wants to stay and fight

For all the BIG 'star' players we are thinking of, we do need a few honest battlers.

Phillips reminds me of a leigh adams and back in the brad days, we had a plethora of them (adams, bastinac, gibson, dumont, swallow, cunnington, ziebell).

When he gets going it will unlock a new level in our midfield. If not phillip, then someone liek phillips.

A 2020 ben cunnington would be great use to us now and he was in his absolute prime as of late 2020 but cancer took away his best years.
