Still not on board yet with RHJ. Just don't think his ceiling is that high but I will be more than happy if I am proven wrong.

Disagree, I reckon his ceiling is sky high, jeez he moves so well now he's got some confidence

Sky high means he becomes a Charlie Cameron or Eddie Betts. Are you sure?

Yep. Same pedigree: Cameron was taken in the rookie draft, Betts in the pre-season draft.

Where they were taken in the draft has absolutely nothing to do with it. Runs on the board count. Not saying he can't or won't, just saying that I don't see it yet. Maybe another season could change that but who knows.

Ditto

Thought he should have also been dropped after his first or second game back in the senior team

Was lucky to hold his spot and eventually show something but still would’ve delisted him

This thread has some serious Will Phillips vibes, never change North Big Footy, never change.
Said this in January 2024:
We haven't seen much of him at AFL level so there's that possibility of being one of the suprise packets in 2024.

Despite the very few amount of games in 2023, RHJ was actually showing promise. Getting to the right spots, pressure on the ball, crumbing, getting shots on goal etc. Just couldn't score from the opportunities he earned.

Another possibility is, he could be a real dangerous option at Marvel. Dry turf, fast movement and the perfect ground for agile-quick types. Just reckon we need to see him under the roof to get a genuine gauge at what he's capable of.
Kicked 3 against the Dogs. Horrible day for the team but he was lively early and getting a few shots on goal.

Good on him. For him to sort out his home sickness and then string a few games together towards the end of the year, suggests that he is taking this chance seriously. If he can add some strength and some defensive intensity to his game there is absolutely no reason why there isn't a role for him across half forward moving forward.

Couldn't find stats from Eddie's first 6 games unfortunately only first season (which is 6 v 21) and obviously doesn't tell us much. Not that I expected it to really.

Even if he doesn’t make it in the long term, he has shown some real mental grit to get where he is now. A decent block of afl games suggest that the coaches like him, and I do too.
