Open a bay plug the GWS fans in there, take half the ground, plug Saints in there. They can have the far side and we'll have the interchange area and the MCG trust can foot the bill.

If the AFL want it, why not give them what they want and only have one cheer squad that swaps ends each quarter? Will be a final to remember, one for the ages.

So because 1 game at Gabba we have to fill the slot,
If there had have been 3 games at G already we would have been at marvel?

Apparently that was the old agreement between the AFL and MCC which was changed circa 2009. Now it is 10 finals every 5 years at the MCG. So while not a huge amount the AFL will bank MCG finals when they have the opportunity.

Also this game will get 10-15k more being at the G as opposed to Marvel due to MCC members and more AFL members attending.
