For those that want Stocker in, who would you have left out?

Webster, Windhager or Clark?

Clark

I understand the selection though as we want as much midfield depth as possible especially if Seb breaks down during the game.

Also love that we kept Byrnes as the sub as he was great the other day in that role.

So anyway i would prefer Stocker but am happy to take the coaches play. Haven't really disagreed all year with their selections opposed to nearly every week under Ratten which is a nice change.

I reckon it was always down to Stocker vs Byrnes as sub. The right decision was made. From memory Byrnes has played the G well this year. Can’t fault the 23 TBH.
Sub hasn’t been named yet although you would think it’s Byrnes.
The sub next to his name is from round 24.
They should just name the sub Thursday night and save the confusion.

Just don’t know about Stocker being dropped - unlucky but probably a line ball call.

Personally I thought Clark would make way for Ross. So the story for me is how does Clark perform at the MCG under finals pressure?

He lacks speed and strength but is brave - be interesting and might have a big bearing as to whether he hangs around or moves on.

Wasn’t aware of that, cheers. I guess Clark could also be sub. Byrnes was very good against Brisbane.

Stockers omission is far from controversial. Especially when you look at a few dropped from the other games. Boak, Lyons, Noble, Hollands, Dow, Fisher. A few unlucky there.

Take a step back and think about the fact that we’re heading into a final with Owens, Nasiah, Windy and Matteas in our first choice 22. We replaced and upgraded 20% of our best team in 2 national drafts.
Doesn't sound that great, would take us 10 years to then completely turnover the side.

Our kids have shown a lot of promise but we can't only bring in an average of 2 kids per draft. We need at least 3-4 each year to compliment the list.

He must still see something in him as he has played 20 games.

The good thing for him is he would have earned another contract and whatever it is he has to work on he gets a go at it over the off season
Judging from the Saints media coming out...Stocker is an intense dude. This should fuel him and steel him for whatever is to come (be it preseason or another final) I'm disappointed for him, but I can understand the selections.

Boak? Now that's a big call.

I guess until you see the subs you don't know if he's really been "dropped" but surely Byrnes gets the bib again.

Veteran defender Jimmy Webster will play his first final in what will be his 150th career game, while Josh Battle will reach the 100-game mark after seven seasons in red, white and black.

2 more reasons why we win on Sat. Well done guys, you have been great to watch!
Two of the most trustworthy players in the team, go about it the right way.

Jesus Christ, the reasoning is ridiculous.

The appeals board accepted that the mro/mrp and tribunal all were not reasonable in their assessment that the contact was high. They also accepted Fishers assertation that he did not recall any high contact (not that there was none mind you). Further to that the appeals board accepted that the mro/mrp and tribunal could not determine the force based on video. So surely that sets the precedent that you can’t adjudge force in the future without a medical report (spoiler it won’t).

Sure but that’s not really the issue. You can argue alls well that ends well and I’m not begrudging Toby but 2 things.
1- any consistency and you have to argue he could have done something else, so it might not be in the spirit but it’s consistent.
2- the process here is mind boggling. 2 seperate bodies said he gets a week and the 3rd (which is really not there to judge the others judgement) decides he’s fine? It doesn’t make any sense.
What did I tell you ?

Someone here earlier said Clark should've come out for Stocker. Why?

I think it was always going to be out of Byrnes and Stocker and Byrnes plays the bigger grounds well.

Pretty telling that Billings didn’t make the best 26.
I guess you need a back up ruck in Campbell and back up defender in Howard.
Sub will come from Byrnes or Stocker.
No Billings, No Coffield hopefully papers aren’t stamped for Coff.

So you’re saying Stocker still with a chance?
If I know RTB (and my word do I know RTB), I would say Stocker doesn't play.

Don't think Ross has made an unforced late change at any point this season.

Interesting with Stocker.
Lyon came out earlier & said that he still had things? to work on.
Although, Enright's call maybe?
Always going to be someone unlucky.

Must be a massive shock for Billo this year coming from a certain best 22 player to not even making the squad. Huge shock huge wake up call huge reality check.
I’ve had them myself when I realised I wasn’t so good at something as I thought I was. It’s not really a bad thing.
