It's a shame we're losing so many players at the most crucial time, we match up pretty well with Richmond if we're close to full strength but I don't like our chances without all of Ryder, Carlisle, Long, Battle & Gresham. Our depth is pretty thin at the end of the day.

it would be the one of the greatest wins of all time for our club if we pull it off. go saints!

Just want to say I fully support Carlie's decision and the way the club has approached it. As a relatively new dad (and twins on the way) there are more important things in life sometimes. I'm sure it wasn't an easy decision for the big fella nor an easy decision to miss a semi final considering the number of setbacks he's had in his career.

This type of public support will also go a long way to raising the desirability if the football club with players welfare front and center. Hawthorn have always been known as the family club (because they are so pedestrian and boring :) ) and the saints will become more attractive as a result.

In saying that, huge loss. Hopefully Lynch is still underdone.

Out: Ryder Carslie and Long (will be a scapegoat)
In: Battle, Marsh and Roberton. Not sure of Robbo.

Need big bodies.

It's such an unlikely win, I wouldn't mind a risk or two taken with selection.

We probably aren't really left with a choice anyway.

I'd bring Robbo in for Carlisle. Play Wilkie on Riewoldt and Robbo in Wilkies spot.

Battle for Ryder if he is fit, if not it probably has to be Marsh.

Who we bring in for Long may depend on where we want Geary. He looks very comfortable forward.

I wouldn't mind seeing Hind played off a back flank for his pace. Savage is the other option. He's the safest bet but Hind might be a move that causes some havoc.

If Geary goes back Hind is the obvious replacement forward. Parker might give us something different there though. We could also bring in another mid. Dunstan/Bytel/Byrnes?

Kent would be in trouble in we didn't have 3 forced changes but I can't see any more changes outside of those.

Sinclair played 90% of that game off the backline, and he looked pretty good there.
If they wanted to play him as a back they could put him there and bring in one of the young mids.
Plenty of options.

Roberton may come in, given he's been named emergency the most, but i've never liked him as a key defender, and against Martin or Riewoldt i think he'd be ineffective.

Doubt it.

Some things are more important that football, and this is one of them.

Phht 3rd kid, can't even remember my 3rd...its all to keep the wife happy.
Geary as well. Do we need to put their wives in chastity belts over Christmas.

I'm finding myself sticking up for Kent way more than I want to lately but he broke a few lines with his speed and helped break through the defensive zone last game. He wasn't getting a heap of it but he had a few very important possessions. His pace and size make him hard to hold. He's a weird size and hard to match up on, we really only have Parker who can use pace and size as midsize forward. Hind is quicker but not a lot more impacting most games. I guess Marsh is the other one.

I reckon his review would be kinder to him than some of the fans are any way. I have never rated Kent but this year he's had some good games. He's not playing as close to goal lately so his scoring has dried up.

fu** it YOLO

Carlisle out
Clav in

Clav to kick 5 from CHB on debut

He really doesn't look ready yet. I still remember last year in the intraclub where Lewie Pierce threw him aside like a slight annoyance and broke his ankle. Lynch would eat him as a snack.

No doubt Kent did a couple of nice things mate, but he had 5 touches in a final.

Out of those 5 touches 2 were direct turnovers.

I wouldn't he dropping him, but he might be lucky we have 3 forced changes.
