A bit of Savage chaos ball might be a wild card for us and could bring King, Lonie & Butler into the game, I think we're going to have play break-neck and kick a big score if we're any chance.
There are a number of people who believe Richmond are worried about our speed.
I’m thinking Marsh and Hind. Marsh gives a chop out in the middle for a few minutes a quarter and acts purely as a follower.

i thought he was flying back to melbourne but then read his partner is having the baby in NSW, but i might be wrong

He could be available in the amazing event of it being necessary. He is just going over the border into NSW according to SEN this morning. Nowhere near Victoria.

I want to echo a lot of this.
My first is due in a few months.
No amount of money or experiences will or would convince me not to be by my wife’s side and meet the little guy. Carlisle is making the right choice.

as for us? Yeah we are climbing a mountain, but we knew that before the first bounce on Saturday.
Come first bounce on Friday night, we are even and all you can ask is for 22 men to give everything for 2 hours for our jumper.

I would imagine 99% of us feel the same way about Jake - even if there is a little banter about it.

Hopefully Lynch is still underdone.
It would be quite mean and nasty for someone to say they hope Lynch does play and that his hamstring pings in the first 10 minutes.

I’m not mean and nasty.

So can someone on here who is mean and nasty please say it for me?

I expect we wont stray too far from what has worked. Round 4 we played one ruck and marsh as a negative forward.
The big difference is Carlisle marked all the chaos tiger kicks into f50, so that's the role we need to fill. Austin has the intercept tools- great mark, quick. Someone needs to sit him down and explain the defensive bit.
Wilke must take dusty when forward and robbo cant go with jroo.

He's another who isn't really a KP, he's more a rangy tall interceptor. He plays really loose so he leave space exposed behind him. He's got heaps to work with but for some reason multiple coaches haven't given him another go. Makes you think his papers are stamped. He probably would have suited a tall wingman or something even. One of those guys that missed his opportunity I think. He could go back to state leagues and dominate and get another go maybe.
I hope his papers arent stamped. He lost a year and a half with the shoulder surgery and hasnt been able to play vfl this year. Dougal basically took his spot and has been a decent upgrade. I reckon he should come back into the frame if jake is moved on. I think he has the tools to match up on jroo.

Sav, Robbo and Marsh are the consistently named emergencies for the last few weeks so those three you'd think if we don't contest Long (we should) and Battle doesn't get up. Hind would be ok too for pace.

What has happened to Bytel? Not named as an emergency for weeks. I know his three games weren't amazing on the stats sheet, but he just looked comfortable at the level and had a bit of time and space that not that many first games show. I appreciate that it could be seen as throwing him to wolves a bit; but I reckon he'll be a key big body in our midfield in coming years (including when we're seriously challenging) so would like to see him blooded for finals now.

is there currently a quarantine law between NSW and QLD? because if not, lets say hypothetically the baby is born today/tomorrow. could he be a chance to spend a few days with his family for the birth and be back by friday night? I know thats a massive and would be cutting things a bit fine. Also would mean he doesn't train at all this week.

Hopefully we can win without him and he'll be back fro the prelim.

The problem is with Kent, Marsh & Hind… we're just as likely to get 6 kicks between the lot of them on recent form. Can't afford to have that many players who cant find the ball when the heat is on.

Savage, Dunstan, Bytel, Roberton all safer bets to actually get it done for mine.

i don't necessarily care if they all have quiet games with regard to disposals, as long as 3 goals come from those 6 kicks and they provide immense pressure in our forward half.

You only need one of hind or Kent to kick a few for it to work.
Marsh will be in for his size and versatility.
We have one strength and that’s our speed and zippyness of our ball movement.

I back the plan to turn the pressure to 11 and win the turnover. There will be space behind Richmonds forward running. Run into it and run fast.

Hind went out of the side because his form was off.
Now Kent's form is off.

I wouldn’t know - but that would be great.

Mav Weller and Bailey Rice have both taken to Twitter to advocate for Webster's inclusion in the team. I've always been a big fan, love his pace, toughness, kicking, marking, and would expect him to play like he has a massive point to prove... but he has barely been in the frame all year and can't even remember the last time he was an emergency.
