Who's this Darcy Parish guy? Sounds like a good signing.

Unfortunately Gofundme doesn't like me after my last Gofundme campaign to help feed out one of my mates when his wife went out one night - this has resulted in some challenges.

I may need to find an alternative way to fund this.

An article from April, pre-Anzac Day.
“[It’s a] big decision to make, but I am really enjoying my time,” Parish said.

“I am seeing what ‘Scotty’ is putting in front of us, and it is really [towards building] sustainable success. Hopefully, I can be a part of this at this club. [The contract] will take care of itself, and we are enjoying the ride,” Parish said.

“Scotty put it to me [to lift my standing] at the start of the pre-season, and it changes the mindset a little bit,” Parish said. “You want to work hard, and it keeps you motivated to be the best.”

“We want to be a great midfield group in the end and I think we are heading in the right direction,” Parish said.

“We wanted to see where we are at, and it showed we are up there, aren’t we? We are building something really good, and we are believing in it,” Parish said.

“We are loving the work we’re putting in throughout the week, and we are loving surprising everyone.”

“We have been atrocious [in defence] in the last few years, and we have let ourselves down. Our assertive defence has come a long way and everyone has bought into what Scotty’s put in front of us,” he said.

Also something about Cara being a key driver of sharpening up the team defence.

Different article but also interesting;

On Parish’s role, Scott said playing to his ball-winning strength - as the new coach intends - and having a strong defensive game could co-exist.

“Darcy’s got you know elite footwork, he’s really agile - and Zach Merrett’s in this category too - there’s no reason why Darcy can’t become a really good defensive midfielder.

“Zach and Darce will be charged with the responsibility of leading our midfield and that’s all phases. But that being said, yes he’s an elite ball hunter. So it makes sense to have him hunting the ball as often as possible.“

My name is not Darcy Parish

That's a hell of a strawman, considering no where in my post did I say that.

But 'cool, I guess'.

If you can't see the irony in this board roasting Parish all year for butchering the ball and lacking defensive intent, only to want a version of the same player who happens to be bigger but comes with rumored drug issues, I cant help you.

If you are replacing Parish with a big bodied mid, I would prefer one that has a different skillset and isn't rumored to be in the gun due to drug strikes. But that's just me.
Had a chat to someone yesterday, who is pretty well connected, about Oliver.

Wouldn't go near him.
