Anyone who thinks he sucks has no idea.

You can believe we would have been better off trading him for capital to help balance out our midfield group and that is perfectly fine.

But thinking he flat out sucks is stupid.
He's a bit of a one way runner, and he also butchers it probably more than he should. However, if we have the right pieces around him he'd be able to shine and I believe be an invaluable player for us.

The question more is can we get the right pieces to make a balanced team, because we haven't had that for a very long time, and that makes all the players look worse than they could be.

Look at least they're contested possessions

I am not sure I agree with the one way runner bit. I think his role and what he does best is run offensively. It just looks bad because we don't have the defensive runners around him. (which is why i said that I am fine with people wanting to trade him to balance out our midfield rotation)

Has nothing to do with his role. He is a one way runner. Not because he doesn’t want to do it but because he is slow to transition into defensive positioning. He tends to ball watch a bit or try reading the play like an intercept defender which you can not do in the midfield.
Offensive runners can still slot into the defensive effectively if they are switched on .

How do you come to that conclusion?

Hasn’t attended the Arizona trip for starters. Some of his actions and body language out on the field and just the way he plays at times is selfish and not about the team. There’s a reason why he is nowhere near consideration for the leadership group despite being a senior player.
