Was.
He is seriously at the crossroads more than ever, and if he can't pull his finger out for the remaining 12 or so games, if he's selected, then he will struggle to find a new home let alone find good form.
He's just turned 26 which makes him still a youngster in ruckman terms.
I seriously dunno wtf we can do with him because even if he kicks 2-3 goals per week it's the other stuff that he does or doesn't do that is the problem.
This is the problem, when David doesn't get the ball (which is most of the time), it virtually guarantees a turnover to the opposition as he is useless once the ball hits the deck.
I suppose it's worth a try but then who gets kicked outta the ruck?
No one, he needs to go back to the seconds and refresh himself with ruck play again. If a spot becomes open due to injury or poor form then he gets his spot back........as a ruckman!
People shouldn't be too eager in ditching Hale for whatever they can get as I think he would comfortably be the best club ruckman that isn't being played in that position.
If we can get a reasonable trade for David, then that is good and well, if not, then we should keep him on our list as a good back up ruckman.
