before the draft pundits were saying we had more leeway in drafting 'risky' picks because we had so many, and then we went out and drafted a slew of injured players. so this probably is what happened.

certainly seems more likely than anyone looking at our list and thinking that an intercept defender was the main thing it's missing when we're playing Balta and Brown forward and need to squeeze Gibcus in as well.

Supremely talented. However the cynic in me thinks his selection is predicated on our club not having faith in Gibcus’ recovery and living up to expectations.

More a Broad than a genuine KPD. Will fit in nicely next to Balta and Gibcus.

My favourite player of the night. He was so excited to be drafted by us, literally had tears in his eyes, dragging his grandfather in front of the camera. All of this speaks volumes of his character and the culture he will help create. His highlights are exceptional. I don't think we should read too much into the rumours of terrible 'injuries' recruiters throw around before draft night. Its just a ploy to scare off others so teams get a late steal. We would not have taken him if we felt the rewards far outweighed the risks.

I'm going to be riding this kids career like a cowboy at a rodeo. He's going to be help create the most powerful backline in the league.
