ARE we done with the tears? All that weeping and the wallowing. The hand-wringing. It cannot be possible for Essendon to roll out any more people prepared to stump up the reputations of the Four Aminos.
They were at it again on the weekend. There was a plea for the AFL to stop messing with people's lives. Truly. Another was banal enough to suggest James Hird should be suspended for the finals only because Essendon doesn't have a chance in hell of winning a final anyway. That's what the bloke wrote.

Can we establish this once and for all? Essendon coach James Hird, his assistant Mark Thompson, club doctor Bruce Reid and football manager Danny Corcoran are all jolly good fellows who have made significant and laudable contributions to AFL football. We all love the Four Aminos. And, yes, we would all trust Doc to look after the health of our children without a second thought. Hirdy's a legend too, Bomber's a premiership captain and two-time premiership coach, and Danny's got a great footy brain.

We need to get back to reality. Essendon last year ran the most reckless player-treatment regime in the game's history.
The club and the Four Aminos should not be allowed to walk away from that, no matter what swell guys they are.
Time to put away the hankies. The sniffling from the Essendon media conscripts is unedifying.

Hated the way in which the EssADA* fans dressed up as Mexicans at the footy on Sat. Just shows the arrogance of the club.

I really, really despise this organization. Their arrogance throughout the whole process has almost made me respect the Magpies.
