Honestly did exactly what I hoped for and we looked tighter down back. You would get killed with a backline of players like him but you can have one lockdown bloke. I'd keep him in.

Your defenders need to be versatile and he is.

There's not many players that he could end up switched onto that he couldn't at least make work and put a body on.

It's similar with the physical profiles of Goater and George, especially once they mature and add strength.

It's the problem with the likes of Fisher and McKercher in defense. They're lucky to match up physically with their direct opponent, let alone when they get switched up.

Intensity, attack on ball and man is exceptional. His athleticism surprises on the upside, has really good agility. Defensively he more than makes it, and could play on a number of different types of forwards. This flexibility is gold. The question on him is when he has the ball, decision making and kicking. Reckon he has good hands as well.
Need to keep pumping games into him

Agree . I was not a fan of him just because he used to be a liability in the last line of defence with unreliable disposal by foot .
But I think he has gotten a bit more confident & has improved immensely in this department this season especially.
He’s the type of player that does not need to get it 20 times to be affective. In fact I doubt very much if he will crack the double figures much in his career. Who cares , he’s not there for that… he’s hard nut lock down defender & that’s just what we need to play on opposition small forwards who normally murder us .

Imagine having number 11’s son being the reason why you have to lift your shit out there.
I’ll call it. No archer. No response from Captain B2

Drury, Archer, Xerri, Wardlaw, Sheezel.

These are the ones on the list who play like they give a s**t. Everyone else is on the chopping block every week until they display the same level of endeavour as they do.
Comben is doing the best he can and should be in this list. There are others who are trying their best, but are so out of form and confidence they just look defeated. I like looking at the Pressure Act stats each week as a guide to who is putting in. No surprises who is top dog this week.
