I would just like to say a massive thank you to the North Melbourne Football Club for firstly giving me the opportunity that every young footballer dreams of and for providing me with some of the best memories that I will have for life. I'm going to miss all the boys around the club but I'm sure we'll still keep in touch. Now to move on to my next chapter with Geelong. Feels like being drafted again, can't wait!

Played poor to average for three quarters, had one really great quarter. Needs to find consistency. Even then, was his stand out period due to his efforts, or the hawks taking the foot off?

He has a really nice kick, and while not quite elite athletically, he is better than most his size. If he can get consistency, better game sense, there is no reason he cant have a much long and bright career. Could take a similar role as podsiadly did, the cats would love that.

For. ****'s. Sake.
Like I said in the Garner thread....all reports were that he was flying through preseason. Brad Scott and him having the last say and doing interpretation of the selectors of the Australian Cricket team has costed us this lad staying......he had every right to say he was off to better pastures after he signed his last deal with us and didnt get a fair go......
This will be catagorised as list management or lack of it by our selection committee......we played favourites and for everyone to be on the same page, we cannot afford to do this any more.

In the same way we were supposed to regret letting them snatch Delaney?
Whats Delaney have anything to do with Black ?? We Pick him with our 2nd pick the year we drafted him with some speculation we might have gotten him with our 1st pick he played seniors games and showed promise......we entered our premiership window and drafted Waite and he replaced him in the senior side.....Scott sold him the song that if he trains hard and puts the score on the board he may push his way back into the team......all the while Petrie is stinking it up............

>Scott have chopped and changed and probably in hindsight should have found a way to drip fed him to keep him interested in staying at the club.

Blackie could have been a gun. Maybe still will be, but it was never going to happen with us after the past couple of seasons. He is the epitome of someone who had stagnated and desperately needed a change.

Didn't watch it all last night, but his nice skills were on display. No surprise there, we always knew he has them. He also failed to bodyline the ball a couple of times, and this is his major weakness. Interesting to see if Geelong put up with it.

To blame his decline on the recruitment of Waite is ridiculous. It defies football logic to say a player was hard done by because another player came to the club and was ahead of him in the pecking order. The whole point of recruiting is to bring in better players. If the ones already on your list are unable to improve to the required extent, then surely replacing them is a good thing.

And 'flying on the track' at Geelong? F'ing spare me. There's a reason why people laugh at this cliche.

Surely the only thing preventing Blackie from 'flying on the track' at North was Blackie.

No problem thats your opinion, 2013 - 2014 is when we got him going and where he has played the majority games of his career..... black.PNG

its in print.......young forward starting out his career....they werent bad numbers but as I said Waite come on the scene. Whether you agree or not Waite has been great mind you dont get me wrong but between Waite's injury time , Brown's small form slumps at times and Petrie stinking it up for the majority of 2016 we managed 3 games.... and yes what others have said he unfortunately got injured or was injured when an opening popped up. Petrie could have been swung down back in 2016 and get him to focus on beating a player......
Im saying Scott could have given him a game or a block of games. And he has played favourites or belligerent enough not to be creative....
