I wonder if they will use Watt's 150th as a motivational tool this week??

Afterall, north need motivation.. and watt is a tool..

It's a clever play on words, but I reckon you should retract it. First and foremeost, Shannon Watt is a North Melbourne footballer. He plays for us.

For all his little faults, he ain't no tool and your post is out of place (IMHO).:)

I was joking about the whole tool thing... i was just having a play on words..

he has been a solid if not spectacular player for 10+ years.. showed a bit in the second half yesterday... as long as we havent got a good tall defensive option ... then we need him ...

he is a bit of a modern day Mark Roberts...

any player who pulls on the blue&white stripes gets my respect but nearly every time he goes near the ball i panic &unfortunately most times so does he!i would love to see him turn it around like big drewie but after nearly 150 games i can't see it happening.

Our best 22 would include H, JWS, Edwards & Nathan Thompson (among others). If these 4 are added in, Watt is one of the 1st ones out. And yes - I would drop him before Brown...

First, to say you would drop him before Brown is ridiculous.

Second, your best 22 seems to be stacked with forwards and midfielders. Defence got any place in your world - or are you one of those 'experts' who believes anyone can play in the backline?

Ummm you can shuffle the players around, you know

I thought all of you might want Scott "I still haven't played in a winning game and I leak goals" Thompson to come in.

He only let Mooney kick 7 on him last time.

Did anyone think of Leigh Brown?

Yeah?

Same goes for Leigh Brown, as I have posted before is struggling with the pace of the game these days and looks lost unfortunately, but you don't play AFL football without some talent. He has played 181 games and kicked 84 goals (as of today). He is obviously playing a role as directed by D. Laidley and while he is getting picked we should support him.

Anyway, lets get behind all of our players and support them as we roll towards September action again.

CQ do you play football?

He had 5 kicked on him.

Take the rose coloured glasses off.

He did some good things but all this will do is give him a free pass to get pantsed in the finals.

You cant honestly have faith in him after the amount of times he has let us down in the past.

Hahaha fantastic.

Calling for him to be dropped this week?

Had a lot more faith in him today then our midfield who gave the Cats an easy run into our fifty. At least he had a red hot go.

The amount it was down there, I'm surprised he didn't have 10 kicked on him. Credit where credit is due- he took risks and sometimes seemed a lone hand down there.

But I suppose if he floated across as the loose man and took gimme marks, he'd be a superstar just like Petrie.

If he had a half competent replacement, absolutely.

Unfortunately we dont, so we just have to grin and bear it with Watt, all the while knowing that he will get destroyed if he is playing on anyone other than the oppositions fourth best forward.

Watt ran out of chances with me a long time ago, going to take alot more than a few uncontested marks to change that.

He played one good, cancel that, excellent quarter of football today. The rest of the day he was beaten in one on one contests.

I have to admit that's how I saw it without the benefit of a replay. Watt on the last line of defence 1 out was the stuff of nightmares. He was isolated and exposed a fair bit from what I saw. Not our worst but far from great.
