It's make or break year for Bauer I think. I don't have an issue if Fawcett goes back out, was a bit of an unexpected chance this early to get exposed to senior level. He will get plenty of chances.

agreed, fawcett getting a taste of AFL is good for his development but bauer played a better game on the weekend and an even better game in rd1, so i'd leave bauer in considering he's only played 9 career games, so still has time to grow

but as it stands fawcett is still the next in line for a call up unless faull/sims have a few REALLY good games, or they decide that ryan's back up rucking is needed

With Faull and Sims breathing down his neck, not so sure about that. They are both pretty impressive. I wonder if he might have to reinvent himself as a key back. He has lot's of traits that could allow it.

I think we keep him developing as a forward and hope they all make it. He's a SA boy so there could be some flexibility there if we can't give him game time we trade him later. He's 2023 draft but missed all of last year. In some ways it's almost like him, Faull, Sims, Armstrong are all starting at the same point but he got the chance as reward for hard work and because Lynch was out.

Bauer kicked a goal a game. Has been good not great. I've slightly disappointed with his general play.

Bauer back up ruck was a bad joke week 1, Rucking like Mabior Chol vs Cripps & Wines & posters complain about our Taranto. FMD

Blight moved from the backline in the 2nd half, after Luko went off Saints have a short forward line. So Blight might stay back & back up ruck from there.

3rd tall type Bauer is the RFC preference. Or chuck a 2nd career game at Fawcett.

Sims & Faull are not ready.

Ryan is a better ruck option than Bauer
