Getting better with taking marks around the ground and using the right option.

Got done taking it out of the ruck today inside defensive 50 which cost us a goal but TBH after we’ve lost 11 games in a row and look nowhere near it, well it is what it is.
Overall X should be proud of his last couple of weeks.
He tackled that piece of shit and threw his whole body weight ontop of him so he gets my 3 votes.

This reminds me of a mate who didn't care for Shane Clayton until he saw him punch Kane Pettifer in the reserves and warmed to him after that.

I even looked favourably on Lance Piccone for a while after he went after Hird.

Seriously, where's the love for this guy. He cops so much flack on this board which I don't understand. Yes not the the most talented player but to me he's becoming the and soul of the club.

That chase against Ryan was inspirational.
Flack from some. Coming along nicely, least of our issues. The 1st ruck is his to lose.

Couple of costly errors don't unmake a massive game by the big fella. Speaking of errors... 70% of his 19 possessions were contested, for only 2 turnovers, and while he had 3 frees against he had SIX frees for! Some times **** ups come at the worst of times and places, sometimes they make no difference, the ratio was against him today in that regard (and that first free in their F50 for a push was pretty weak and then NEVER called again!)

I said it in the gameday thread, he lacks Goldy's smarts but he has his endurance and about 3000 times as much mongrel in him. I love the big fella.

Him adjusting his game and gelling better with the mids is a big part of why the stoppage crew were so influential today, and he deserves a spotlight (and then some) for that chase down too!

I like the bloke and think he’ll be a very good ruckman for the things he does well. That said, geez, he needs to keep it simple.

Rule no 1. Never take the ball out of the air in the backline. Ever. Under no circumstances.

Rule 2. When you have a free kick, mark etc, get back quickly and kick it long. Or to a feee player short that has no one near them.

Apply those 2 rules and he goes from good to great.

Best chase since Gavin Urquhart hunted down Farren Ray.

A huge positive from the year to date. Finally stopped grabbing the ball in the round the ground contests, and giving our mids a good chance of first touch at stoppage. Throws his weight around, and gives absolutely everything he’s got. Well done big fella
