An absolutely unbelievable decision in that he got only 1 week.

2 or 3 years ago it would have been a 6 weeker unquestionably.

A similar incident to the Russell Morris/Jim Edmond incident.

Good luck to him though - good to see him back & healthy.

As I said when it happened, "There was nothing in it."

Has shown some form recently in the VFL. Got careless and got 1 week but was having a go, unlike some others that day. Would like to see him get a run, and this week would be appropriate if we have a few needing a rest. I'd bring in Lower, Hansen & Harding in that order, but this will be impacted by who is being rested.

Its time to bring him back.
Too many times last week our smaller bodied players were pushed off the ball to easy.
Although i,ve been a wrap for Campbell this season Harding should come in this week to replace him and see what he has to offer.
We have rotated that small forward pocket position so much this season and not come up with the right formula yet, so maybe Harding might be the answer, we wont know until we give him a go.

Edwards over Harding this week, no question.

If anyone's replacing Campbell it should be Djars or Edwards.

Harding's return to VFL coincided with a few TV games for NB, and i wasn't seeing anything that made me think he should be selected, especially after a week off.

Then again... what would I know, brown aparently did enough to earn a recall despite not making the best in the single worst reserve level team in the country.

I have heard Dean Laidley say that the listing of best players for reserves games is meaningless to him. He says it is easy to get on those lists playing a diffierent style of footy to that required in AFL footy. Don't remember what he had to say about what he looks for in a reserves game, but can say that being in the best list is of no signififcance to him - in fact I got the impression that his general opinion was that players names in the best in VFL games got there by getting cheap kicks ... Brown obviously doesn't do that (and he dopesn't get the hard ball gets either).

I think that's pretty much spot on. A fella from my home town was on the North list until a few years back and he was consistently in the best in the VFL but didn't get many senior games. He did get a lot of kicks each game, but didn't use the ball well and didn't do a lot of the one percenters etc.

Harding looks like he's carrying a bit of weight still. I'm all for keeping him at the club but i don't think he's ready for seniors. Whoever gets played this week (Moran, Hansen, Harding) i suspect will play the following week with expectations of being less underdone for finals footy.

Then clearly Nathan Buckley just can't expect to waltz back into the Pies this week if that's the case. Just because he got close to 30 possessions and snagged a couple of goals, should not make him a walk up start. Gotta do the things that AFL clubs want you to do first.:D

I'd play Gibson over anyone else. Different position I know, but he must come back through the seniors. Otherwise even if he gets a bit of a run for Tasmania, he would only get one week of AFL action at best before the finals - that's not ideal.

And if he does come in, can we then afford to play two blokes who haven't played for a long while, in one game?

Im sure they just print the same bests list for north ballarat every week.

Harding needs to come in, isnt just a crumber plays as a lead up target and his defensive pressure is awesome. Matty Campbell to have a rest.

Green or Rawlings need to be flicked out of the middle, my preferance is Green. Both play the same role and are terrible offensive players. Leigh Adams would be the preferance, but im not sure he is eligable. If not him, Ed Lower.

Leigh Brown to go out for Aaron Edwards or maybe Callum Urch.

Turtle should be given a run for a couple of reasons:

1- he was our second highest goal kicker last year (equal with Jones behind Thommo)
2- if he is going to be figured into the lineup for finals (if someone is injured for example) then he needs a senior game (same goes for anyone else)

Also, on Gibbo: What difference will it make whether he plays for us or the ressies? Just put him in the seniors, we're playing Carlton without Fev afterall

we can afford to rest 3 maybe 4 (depending on position)

Kangalicious, didn't you get that feeling on the weekend when Shagga lined up for goal anyway?

I did as it happens, and funnily enough it didn't go away even with the 50 metre penalty . There was a thread on here a while back about who you'd trust to kick the ball if your life depended on it - last year I would have said Grant, but not this year!

- But, what has been even odder is that I no longer get that feeling when Corey Jones lines up for goal. In fact, I almost feel calm. How wierd is that?

saw harding at work yesterday not over wieght and he doesnt seem to think hell be in the seniors soon.

definitely fit though and over the injury.

were getting more north players in our place by the day must be since moonee ponds closed down.
