Would have made a little more sense to send Ferguson in, don't really see what is gained by Clarke going out there.
He is trying to be attacking at least, but there is nothing really gained from it, Ferguson could have performed the same role.Selfish captaincy, probably why nobody likes him.
No, the no-ball takes precedence. Can a wide be called when there is a no ball (on the same delivery)?
Well, exactly. Ponting barely ever changes the batting order either, nobody calls him selfish.WHAT IF
The BigFooty reaction if Clarke sent in Ferguson
"This is stupid arrogant captaincy. The game's not over and he's sending in fringe players to bat at 3. Poor stuff. Cameron White wouldn't have done this."
"The way Clarke's been batting lately he's the one who needs the hit."
"HE ONLY EVER GOT A GAME 'CAUSE HE PLAYED FOR NSW"
etc.
yeah I noticed that as well, Haddin pretty much started walking as the ball went into the keepers hands.Am I reading too much into this...after the tea break was called Brad Haddin walked off quite briskly without Michael Clarke. From my experience playing cricket I always waiting for my batting partner and you simply walked off together...
It just seems odd...
Clarke is a muppet but he is damnned if he does and damnned if he does not. The best Clarke can get is 40, the best Ferguson could get is 40. Neither innings would make the selectors take notice anyway. What is the big deal?
Actually, that isn't a bad call. I'd just like to see him in Aussie colours again, it has been too long!Personally, if I was Ferguson I wouldn't be too keen to get out there. Not much glory to be had batting Australia home to a sure win, and a black mark if he was to fail.
I don't really feel like a hospital trip tonight.drinking game: each time greig or slater say "clarke", skull a beer
