now now, jones does plenty for the team and to trade him would be plain idiotic. Harris hasnt had a great year but taking his experience out of the mix come finals will be a huge risk. One i wouldnt take.

No he does not. He leads half heartedly, he rarely chases and when he does its at about 20% of what i would call a slow jog, he goes to ground and looks for the free kick far to much and he gets in the way and clogs the forward line to much for the likes of Hale and Thommo.

Trade them both.

Im just sick of guys like Harro and Jones coasting along having 2-3 great games a year.
We cant afford to have these types in our side in vital times of the year. Today they were terrible, as was another dozen or so players, but these two should know better.

Give Swallow a crack next week, and if his VFL form hasnt been up to scratch turn to my 'ball on a string in the VFL' Riggio.

who stood up when thommo was out last year? THere are a number of players that should be out before corey.

The entire North Melbourne football club stood up.

Name the players that should be out before Jones.

Would it be un-North Melbourne of me to bring up the form of Brady Rawlings here. I know he had a bit of the footy today but given that there are twenty guys on our list who are quicker and have better disposal than he does surely they would be a better bet in the centre square. A tagger is supposed to stop his opponent, and Burgoyne had forty five posessions today (although I think Power was "on" him for a little while. I don't know how many clearances he had from stoppages but from my count in the southern stand it was about forty four. It didn't appear to occur to anyone to go and stand near him. Rawlings doesn't offer much if he's not stopping his man, and I don't think he's stopped many men for a while.

I think that's more Laidley related than Brady related.

Brady's the best tagger in the competition - when he tags. He hasn't had to tag much this year, and it's evident in games like today that he is a tagger out and out. Nothing else. If he isn't being used as a tagger, he shouldn't be used at all.

I don't care if we bring in Wundke and play him on the ball in an elimination final. Harris has to go.

Agreed! I've said this before and it stuck out like dogs balls today.

Tag or play in the twos.

I somewhat agree with you but I think it is a reflection on both parties.

The fact that Brady can't do anything but tag is a poor reflection on his ability as an AFL footballer IMHO.

No argument from me. He's a footballer, no doubt. He's a tagger though. Not a pure midfielder, despite what Dean seems to think.

I 100% agree, but I think its a bit harsh people sticking the boots into Brady when he is havinga red hot go.

Laidley is the coach, Rawlings plays the role given to him. We just Can't have Simmo, Harro, Rawlings or Power and Hamish in the middle at the same time, its just inviting a train wreck, which by the way was what happened today.

Gee a bit harsh on Rawlings, was far from our worst today. Power was the man given the job on Burgoyne.

At least Brady was getting the pill, which is more than I can say for Power, Harro and Simmo.

Power started on Burgoyne, but Brady was definitely "on" him for most of the second and third quarters and Burgoyne treated him like he wasn't even there. (Which he wasn't for a lot of the time, he was off chasing the ball. Ironically he would have been much closer to the ball if he'd stayed near Burgoyne.)

He's a premiership quality tagger.

Wouldn't make another side as a midfielder though.

Harro looks gonski, and from his season, I'd swallow, take a breath, and nod my head. Hamish should be training for next year. Simmo needs an Arch-esq send off next year, minus the captaincy.

Do you intentionally say stupid things to get a response?

Seriously, a first round pick would be more valuable than Kerr, let alone 1st, 2nd and Harro.

You are clearly the idiot.

If you think we can get away with just a 2nd rounder and harro for Kerr you are clearly deluded.
