If he's happy with this - i think this would be fantastic for him, the team mates, and the club in general .... announce with another two years on his contract evening out his payments - perfect scenario

Exactly. Re write the rules on what a Captain has to do. wgaf if he's not on camera 24/7...just lead the boys into battle, set training standards, encourage, cajole and inspire.

Only problem with Dusty as captain is how many years he intends to play on, he'd have a blank contract put in front of him you'd think and that's fine but if he only intends to go around next year I don't like the idea of a revolving door captaincy, need to find the next youngish Cotch type like a Baker who can take the group on a journey not a season.
