Good to see he is still capable of kicking a bag of goals when played forward, not that I had many doubts about that.

Hopefully we can find the right balance between Deledio and him and how much time they spend up forward and through the midfield so we can fully utilise their goal kicking ability.
I think they should just rotate between themselves 50/50 in either spot . Whilst when fit Edwards and Cotchin should do the same and hopefully miles and treloar . With cellis and Conca building towards similar .

They were his words of wisdom.
honestly think Tambo would be doing ok at the new-look tigers. if he had COtch, Dusty et all around him in his early days, he might have done ok. THe pressure coz we were so cr*p during that time was higher than it would have been now. See how there is nothing said about Griff being taken 1 before Fyfe at the moment?
If we were towards the bottom of the ladder, that would be the main article.
But i digress...
Dusty is an obscenely good footballer, and he should sign a 10 year contract. He is going to be scary good in about 2-3 years time

Surely he wins the Best and Fairest this year? Rance would be close though.

I'd bet his leading the Jack Dyer, with Rance close, and possibly Edwards still 3rd despite not playing for a month.

I reckon Martin is playing like a complete footy player this season. His always had talent to burn, but I've been frustrated by his deficiencies in the past. But this year, his defensive efforts are good. His getting after the contested footy, rather than hovering on the outside. His taking some strong marks. I've even seen him shepharding.

Deserves a B&F, and at 24, it probably won't be his last.

Completely agree. Also think having (several) children so young can't possibly have helped his football. I suppose we do tend, at times, to be influenced by what we've seen first hand, as opposed to television, and my abiding memory of Dustin Martin is his prison salute after kicking a goal in the second quarter of the Elimination Final against Carlton. That's one thing - but then he went missing for the rest of the game.

It's a (good) sign of the times that Dusty's efforts are now becoming more and more consistent - good to see him hitting the scoreboard last few weeks

Im actually not joking but do you watch a lot of footy? He will probably win the B & F this year after being top 3 in last 2 years, he's only 24 and i agree with others this has been his most complete year..

I can barely remember that and without the media crap it would be forgotten, anyone who has watched allot of footy and tigers games i would think would have abiding memories of his don't argue's, his inability to be tackled to the ground as he breaks tackles and his one on one goals from last year being isolated...

Absolute gun who can still improve a lot, very very durable footy player also, barely missed games over last 6 years!

is there a better, no, is there a more dangerous player one out in the goalsquare.

who would be preferable now?

can you suggest someone from the previous generations, who would be preferable? (Ablett?)

I think it is about if the defender can spoil, they can spoil dusty, and they can spoil the best ffs, most of them were leading ffs, but in a contest, if the ball is spoiled, that ball has dusty's initials written in stone on it.

Fyfe? Ablett snr? Hird? Voss? Ablett jnr?

For someone that has been put threw the ringer over the pre season and then the stuff with his old man and all the shit that this kid has had to put up with over the stretch with f***its wanting to stir shit up about him, how f**ing strong is this kids constitution that he comes out and plays footy each week, when others around him fall apart at the hint of pressure..yeah he might not be the spokesman type, but f**k he should be knocking on the door of the leadership group and lead the team with the way he plays EVERY WEEK!!!
