You can lead without being given any title, I wonder if he would want to be included or not.

Secondly would it be too harsh to suggest his playing habits when Richmond are in possession is much better than when the opposition have it?

At least he registered a tackle, unlike someone wearing a C and begging his team mates for cheap touches out the back.

How the **** would you know idiot , everyone of your posts you are banging on about the same shit . Couldn't you just let a thread crediting Dustin be exactly that ?
he went to an expensive private school in essendon. of course he is sheltered.

i would love to see dustin captain, even if it is for a short period while cotchin is injured or something. martin is in our top 3 players and i think it could be a masterstroke to help him get to another level. He seems to me the kind of kid who would thrive if given the responsibility.

I disagree. He's not a leader.

Yes he's handled the pressure of media, rival fans like a champion but the pressure of captaincy and the leadership group would kill him. He's uncomfortable speaking with a sole stranger let alone dozens of people plus media.

The kid just wants to play footy.

I dunno. Sometimes being forced to come out a bit more can really help people grow and thrive. The responsibility could really push him to apply himself even further and push into the top 5 players in the competition.

Obviously it's not a given and would be a risk, which is why I mentioned a short stint. 1-2 games while cotchin is injured to give him a taste of it could be good for him.

Not related to the captaincy but did anyone else notice how much work he put in after the Vickery **** up?

When Lloyd got spoiled he was close by, he then worked hard to get to the next contest , won the ball then put a pin point centring pass from the boundary to grigg ( who then proceeded to **** up by playing on). He would be especially filthy.
