He wants to emulate Fyfe but he doesn't ever have to be that good and we shouldn't expect it, it he turns out anywhere near Fyfe then happy days, at worse he can be a very damaging forward and puting him through the midfield now at the very least gives him a string to his bow later down the track. We can all see he has great hands and skill and a smart head on his shoulders, whether he becomes the next Fyfe or not doesn't matter to me I'm sure he is still a pivotal part of our exciting future
Nuh uh. Nice try. I expect him now to be the next Fyfe, ****ing horrible haircut and subpar goal kicking and all, otherwise I'm filling the tip truck up with chook shit and putting the membership in the microwave

I still think hes a bit of a fringe player - guys like Green, Colyer & Laverde ahead of him & hes just outside my best 22. The kid has plenty of time though and I think he'll end up being more of a mid field player then a forward

Unlike the above 3 you mentioned Langford will be playing in high rotation as a mid this year so long as our forward line isn't decimated by injury. I think he is a lock for best 22 and he is probably our only midfielder who has the attributes to rest as a target forward (Jobe might provide this). If he is given a full year to develop his game as a mid he could become one of our most damaging players.

I think Kyle will be ahead of Green at the very least. They are both capable forwards but Kyle is far more capable of joining the midfield rotation. With limited interchanges, it is really important that we have as many players as possible that can rotate through the midfield. If Kyle has a good year it will be very good for us going forward.

Unpopular opinion: I still reckon he's a forward
I don't think that's unpopular at all. The problem is that Laverde is just as good as Langford, and they do compete for the same spot if they are being selected in the forward line. I think the logical thing would be to have them rotating as a pair, with Laverde in the forward line 65% of the time, and Langford in the forward line when Laverde is in the middle.

Doesn't really matter what we think, it seems pretty clear the at the coaching staff really, really rate Langford and that should see him best 22 for most of the year.

So do I, albeit one who can rotate into the midfield.

Could be a tricky year for him if the weight gain has robbed him of some of the pace off the mark he showed at times last year. I think some might have to temper their expectations of him this year - I expect he'll continue to get games more on potential than output, which is something I'd support FWIW.

Need to keep pumping games into guys like him, Laverde, McKenna and Francis who are on the fringe of our best 22 (if our next game was a GF).

How about now?

He's coming lads, and so am I.
Okay, that's enough semen references today.
