I think they eased Langford in the pies game, I can see them resting him this week and then playing full minutes in the last intra club.

I think it's more a case that Langford eased himself into the game.

The key and half forwards were not helped in anyway way by the focus of our ball movement but Langford genuinely lacked urgency and was a long was off the pace in that first JLT game. While it means almost nothing, he was poor.

slow average in front of goals. Would start Stewart infront of him.
So you'd start a fringe forward/ruck ahead of a fringe mid/forward. They can co-exist you know.

the amount of easy sets his missed over the last 3 years is laughable.
Just in case you're confused.

This is Kyle Langford

Assuming Jobe, Hepp and Myers (Inj.) are left out this week for the GC game I'd love to see Langford used as one of the main centre bounce mids for the whole game to see what he can produce. Disappointing first game but with the exception Parish & Zerret nobody really set the world on fire.

How could you leave Fantasia out?

Perfect opportunity to have Laverde, Langford, Merrett and Parish head to head with Gold Coasts midfield which is of a similar age.

Parish will have to use his left hand though.

If he uses his right - over too quickly.

This isn't an attack on windyhill, just my opinion, but I feel like considering the extreme determination, perseverance, and improvement Walla has shown to get to where he is, he pretty much seems like the last player in the comp now who'd start strutting around and stop putting the effort in.

It's not really the kind of situation where a kid gets drafted off the back of talent and then goes "well shit I've made it now, got my payday, I'm a big shot".

Don't agree with this.

I don't think there is one superstar of the game at the moment that I would classify as a perfect technical kick or an elite kick.

Edit: forgot Pendlebury and accept that people might want to have the argument about Mitchell.

Right, ok then.

******* hell ! I've been on his bandwagon from day one, watched Essendon for 40+ years seen them all come and go. I love Tippa, just don't want him to lose that hunger/attack on the ball in the belief that he's "made it"
(And that is ******* poor lance uppercut, drawing a very ******* long bow there son)
Dunno man, maybe it is. But no more long a bow than claiming the Tiwi Islander boy looked lazy because he thinks he's made it, off a sample size of one game, that one game being a single practice match and the first of the year.

You have a go at me for a long bow when you're trying to draw on that one? Seriously?

Have a think about what you've tried to claim. It's ridiculous, and frankly it's a bit rich for you to get offended when it's pointed out to you what it echoes. In not saying you're a racist at all, but read back what you've written and have a think about it.

Why the hell would you think a professional footballer who's had to work as hard as he has, would lose his hunger after finally starting to achieve his dream?

Bud, I foster three aboriginal children hence the long bow call.

Fair enough. I'm just trying to understand how you could possibly ask the question you did off a sample size on the first practice match of the year. It's a pretty rough thing to say about a player, probably one of the worst things you could say really, in a team sport like footy

I love the bloke, it was just an observation, he plays high tempo attack football, he only knows one way, just thought he was a little bit off.

Will win the Crichton this season.

Right, ok then.

I think quality of disposal by foot is incorrectly assumed to be a quality that sets that best apart from the rest.

Swan, Fyfe, Dangerfield, Judd and Jobe are four recent players whose disposal by foot is average. Most of the best mids are clearance machines and quality kicking in not really a feature of any of them.
