Pretty sure he means DR.

So easy to get you two confused, given that you post in such an identical manner. You with your prickly, combative posting, and DR with all those videos he posts. You're like two peas in a pod.

lol, fair enough.

Bastinac was tagging their best mid in Daniel Kerr.

Kerr 12 disposals, Bastinac 18 disposals

Bastinac was more useful than LA.

:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu: couldnt agree more, kerr was in red hot form prior to this game,so the stats say anthony had more touches and better efficiency, wooo hooo, basti's game was a lot more beneficial to the team

He is absolutely useless...pathetic user of the footy and pathetic desicion maker for an outside mid... it's an embarrassment that the coaching staff keep playing him... why can we all see that he is useless but not the coaching staff?

He was definitely in our best 3 players in the shitful first half. He's good at what he does, and like 90% of our list he isn't an allround player.

This thread is a monument to people that need a simple knee jerk response to a problem they will not face.

Classic whipping boy stuff in true BF fashion.

A draft mate of LA's has not repeated the form of his first game back but lets smack someone who has been consistant.

A bloke who was in our best 5 doesn't kamikaze in to a contest so we drop him for a kid that is 68kg wringing wet to give us some physicality?

LOL.

Thanks Old Skool voice of understanding at last.

I think some of these BF posters need to stop looking at the footy record and go watch the VFL Mc who has talent certainly is not physical yet. But good chance most posts on this thread dont come from a knowledge of the game from a non spectator perspective.

It's not that he didn't go in kamikaze it's the fact he could have got to the footy 1st but pulled out and then did a piss weak attempt at a tackle. I'm not sure you seen the play.

Congrats - he's a fine DreamTeam player.

He doesn't have to go in like Leigh Adams but he needs to be willing to take a few hits.

He wont be dropped. Some gutless efforts yesterday which will obviously be heavily pointed out to him, in order to ensure it doesnt happen again. But his ball winning ability is too valuable, and will get a chance to redeem himself:thumbsu:

4:30 to go in 3rd quarter should be compulsory viewing for all those who are defending him
and that was not an isolated incident

I was a LA sympathiser. His poor skill execution and selling his own players short with Hospital kicks could always be fixed with practice and training over time.
Pulling out of contests, in my opinion, can't be fixed. You either have the guts or you don't.

Seriously, like any player LA has his deficiencies but the good clearly outweighs the bad or he wouodn't be getting a game. It's time some people on this board got behind our coach, match committee and players and stopped taking gutless pot shots ... it's not what successful clubs do.

if he hasn't copped a blast from the coach on previous "squibs", hopefully he'll have copped one now and will take it on the chin.

He adds value to the team where there isn't much alternative at the present time.
I wouldn't be opposed to him getting dropped for a game to ensure he gets the message.

Successful clubs also do not accept weak, poorly skilled players like Anthony either.

In most cases successful clubs don't find reason to complain because they are winning. Usually this occurs due to them being hard at the ball and executing with skill.

Successful clubs always hide players with deficiencies. Anthony is one of those who looks better in a good side because he has no difficulty in finding the pill and hitting blokes in space.

He is an easy target on here because of his weaknesses but his strengths will be praised when we are up and about.

WTF. That is precisely what he cannot do.

And those strengths would be what ? He is the ultimate outside player. He rarely gets the ball himself but relies on others. When he does get it he is only accurate with a handball from close range. His skills by foot are depressing except for the long roost on the run which is 50/50. He misses blokes by yards not a little bit. The position that he gets the ball in, which is what his admirers must hang their hat on , often wide open with the full field in front of him, is abused by the abject misery of his disposal. It must be so depressing to the other players to see their efforts so abominably wasted. And don't get me going on the squibness - my blood pressure is high enough already at the thought of playing. He is our version of madness - playing him again and again expecting a different result.

He is an easy target because he has no strengths as a midfielder. None. He is slow for his size, obviously soft, has poor disposal even when clear, and makes bad decisions under pressure.

The only reason he finds it so often is because he runs around by himself all day chasing cheap kicks, waiting for Spitta/Cunners/Ziebs to do all the hard work, and is left unmanned by the opposition.

I doubt he would look better in a good side, as he would be invisible as he wouldn't be selected in the first place.

What a load of absolute tripe. Take the blinkers off for a minute.

Jeez this place is a bile filled hole after a loss.

Saw him quite a bit in junior footy.
Surprised at how much he hasn't changed. Thought he must have learnt to play more of a team game to get drafted but he still has the same bad habits.

He improves our game when the entire team is playing well even though his disposal is average.

When the team is struggling he is not only useless but his poor disposal is a liability as our players are panicking and unable to find space.

When we're up he improves the team. When we're down he makes us look worse.

Keep playing him to continue his development as he is the best player for the role at the moment. But, we should be looking for other players who can play his role better. If other players who have better disposal such as Speight, McKenzie, Mullett, Sierakowski, Kennedy or Garlett cannot find the ball as much as Anthony, then we seriously need to consider trading for a player who can - one with class.

LA is a list clogger.

Would rather watch the 68kg wringing wet kid have a go than this squib.

His possesion stats are impressive because teams let him off the chain knowing he does no damage at all and in fact is good for the odd turnover under no pressure.

He is the type of player that opposition coaches pray that he gets selected, because he isn't going to do any damage.

Just list clogging and wasting game time that could be given to blokes that will actually be able to make an impact.
