We managed 15 inside 50's after half time.

It's hard to be too critical of our forwards.

Hard to tell on tv, but first Q Fordy seemed much more disciplined in trying to remain “half-dangerous” to Lever, so Lever was caught in no man’s land a couple times…..then after that Fordy appeared to be trying to be the man and thus dragging lever into spots we don’t want. Dunno, just how it looked.

Has so much talent it’s ridiculous. I want the footy in his hands as much as possible because things happen when he is involved.

He has done quite well building up his physique over the last few years, he just needs a big pre season to add to his tank.

Just to mix it up I wouldn’t mind seeing him across half back in one of the last few games. He is an elite mark for a guy his size and could be an intercepting weapon.

Swag.

It was lever changing tack and forcing Eddie to change tactics that didn’t suit him. Not the first or last time that Lever has been defensively targeted by a defensive forward.

When he met Al Clarkson it was very interesting, apparently.

If you'll be my bodyguard
I can be your long lost pal
I can call you Eddie
And Eddie, when you call me, you can call me Al

Certainly had diamonds on the soles of his boots first q. yesterday TAO.

For those of us who can’t decipher this can you help us out please.
This is what he means:

A man walks down the street,
He says, "Why am I soft in the middle, now?
Why am I soft in the middle?
The rest of my life is so hard
I need a photo-opportunity
I want a shot at redemption
Don't want to end up a cartoon
In a cartoon graveyard"
Bonedigger, Bonedigger
Dogs in the moonlight
Far away in my well-lit door
Mr. Beerbelly, Beerbelly
Get these mutts away from me
You know, I don't find this stuff amusing anymore.

Pretty much sums up our season.

With some extra run I wonder if he could play a CHF style role for us at times...

I thought we looked better yesterday with Larkey up the ground throwing out the Melbourne defence. Hard to tell on the TV but it looked like we slipped back to our usual approach (or Melbourne reset) and then impact was lost.

He’ll get off the chain more once he doesn’t have to play on bigger key defenders. Another genuine Key forward will help Larkey and Ford immensely.

So yeah we need to look at the renaming committee of clearly Luff & Joyce.
Maybe move them on 😝.
I think the surname is sacrosanct.
There are a few options but ‘ Betty’ is the standout.

Eagle or Steady is also ok .

But I suppose we have bigger issues.

On point, Betty does need to find his place.

Not overly tall for AFL but is instinctive, those guys are a hard match up.
Has played 19 games two of which he didn’t enter the arena.

So his stats look good

17 games - 197 D , 76 M , 8 goals , but only 18 tackles.

Hope Al can get him motivated.

I introduced this classic to my young bloke and I was then forced to listen to it 20 times a day for the next year.
