I was curious how much he'd make as a SANFL player. It's peanuts. So he'd need to find a job. Or live off any savings from the money he made with us

How do they expect players to survive on just on a SANFL salary while also training with the AFL squad?

No it’s in season as well. Connor Downie did the same thing with us. GWS do the same. Not sure how they survive. Maybe a big sign on and $1000+ a game.

Bit of a strange one because I would have thought outside of the preseason training they aren’t really needing the extra bodies at training.

He's a good sign for them. At worst he will be a gun state-level player and at best he will advance enough aspects of him game to have another crack at AFL.
