I'm with you a bit, not bad in the air, but not much chop at ground level, just doesn't have the time that good players have. Much preferred him as a forward because he launches at the ball and is very aggressive in that respect. Can't understand the swap from forward to back.

He might be a bit of a plodder with his endurance running I think, probably causes him to be a bit of a johnny one time with repeat efforts. He remains very young, but is about to turn 21, so needs to get a wriggle on in developing a tank.

Think they are playing him in defence to get him to follow some forwards around and understand how hard you need to work to succeed as a forward.
They might think that, meanwhile we have no forward other than Jack, and even he knows he can't do it on his own, who will hit a contest and mark the ball or bring it to ground. When Lynch went down then Bradtke broke his wrist surely it was time to swing him back with the intention of introducing him. If it works then we would not be sitting in 14 spot, if not nothing to lose.

He came in last year and looked a prospect. Half a season later he is further out than ever, strange development, strange assessment of where our list is at.

Was actually quite impressed with Bradtke on the weekend. Covered a lot of ground on the G which seemed to suit him. He's big and strong so once he gets his fitness up his touch will get better and he will clunk a few more marks. Could see him around the FF, CHF position with a good preseason under his belt.

I thought this kid is apparently a plodder who has no heart in him.
Looked like Wayne Carey in the last qtr. Has won 2 games after the siren when swung forward late in the last month. Definitely has showed some ticker.

Has a point to prove against Swans too who overlooked him when he was a part of their academy.

Im Back Wake Up GIF

Watch us not pick him again though.
Or if we do, we'll play him on a wing or something.

Any idea who is opponent was in the last quarter TT?

He still could be CR as we need to see him at AFL level first. Just glad he went Forward in the end bc we struggled to kick a goal all day and that's his true position. I hope he debuts next week and kills it.

It wasn't Glen Jakovich, that is for sure. I think his opponent late was the Academy skipper Brad McDonald, but I stand to be corrected. Bauer was allowed a clear run at the ball 4 times in the dying stages, something he needs. And something you don't get often at AFL level....

You've done nothing but give the KPF's crap all year, now you're this kids biggest fan? go away

I bet if he had of played the whole game as a forward he would have still kicked three goals. But hey let’s pick him to play seniors as a forward after 25mins of good football. If peeps are that desperate to get him in seniors maybe as a sub where he can play both ends of the ground if needed. Or maybe select him as a backman where he has play half a dozen good games this season.

I'm talking about the VFL boys, I distinctly remember us arguing about this, you said none of them are forwards who could make it at AFL, including Ryan & Bauer
You're flat out wrong, I can assure you it wasn't me.

Go look in the Ryan thread, I've been a huge wrap since his first season. And just last week a poster was saying Bradtke and Bauer should be delisted this year and I said I'd be backing them in for another year at least. I've said Bauer has all the tools he just needs to up the work rate and sulky attitude at times.

All things considered

Not sure we are in a position to ignore selecting the young man as a forward asap

He has won us a game abd been bog twice

Especially as we currently have a lamp post masquerading as a footballer in Sampson at the minute

End the Bauer farce now
