Slightly different though as Ryan has been very good as the second ruckman despite his forward form being patchy.

As I’ve said, I’m all for having Bauer debut and I hope he does against Sydney. But I also know that the amount of times he has played forward over the last month is less than 20%, and his form prior to the Brisbane game was spotty at best.

Just don’t know if that’s the kind of form coming into it that MC will award a debut on is all.
Milller has been quite good also when rucking, but Nank still does 80% of the ruckwork so is it important enough to keep him in the side.

should've debuted ages ago. if mini cant make hard calls hes not a coach.
yep, if he doesn't play against the Swans after that dreadful effort by the seniors...what can you say

oustanding game, so good charging off genune CHF to mark!! Very old school in that last Q, could plonk JR in the goal square, and Bauer either kicks it to him, of goes the 55 m hoof.

my only concern is he will hurt himself going for marks - seemed half-knackered getting up after every one.

Of those guys he’s the Fritsch mould. Looks smaller, but lots of muscle power and can play tall or short.
Fritsch surprises me bc he continually keeps performing at a high standard. So anything like or close to him I’ll be ecstatic.

The thing with Jacob is that he has a great leap and doesnt appear to be too quick similar to Jack (younger days)
Mitch Georgiadis plays in a similar way jumping on peoples heads etc

But Jacob Bauer just has that laconic look about him and gives the appearance he is not busting a gut

Needs 7-8 kgs imo

I don't know about that mate as that run outside 50m and bomb was pretty impressive. go to 53sec

Charlie curnow that’s who he reminds of , better kick tho

Sure was but im not seeing elite speed there but definately needs to put on a bit more size

Must be given a game against Sydney and if not sack Mini

We maybe seeing him differently as I like him the way he is and not being a kpf, but that tallish HFF.
Possibly

I just feel he needs more strength as a key foward
Jack is pretty trim and is 93kgs and bailey Fritsch in only 188cm and 86kgs

at 192cm 86kgs he will be too easy to move off the ball for AFL level defenders

That shouldn't matter he played ion Mc donald from the dees a while back who's nearly 15 kilos heavier than him but he still beat him that day.

That's the thing mate you see him as a KF whereas I don't. Will be interesting how he ends up.

Does he do the other things well ? Kicking goals is one thing but remember McBean who would kick bags every game but come AFL and he shrunk.

A bit concerning when we want an undersized unproven most likely to be delisted rookie pick in the side who has not earned a spot.

Bauer played great footy in the backline and then gets swung forward late and wins the game off his own boot for the second time in a month and gets BOG.

That’s easily deserving of a spot in a team that just disgraced themselves and are sitting in the bottom 4.
