Good luck to him. Wasn't my first choice but a mature (not big) player in the midfield with a little bit of run and skill can't hurt.

Who comes out of the rotation for him?
This week I reckon one of Cunners or Macmillan. Basti a chance too.

Cunners more likely.

Basti plays well against GC and needs the confidence IMO.

MacMillan has just been tired and the rest will do him well.

Hope that's the case. He is much better than he has been showing recently.

Congratulations Sam.

History has granted you a magnificent opportunity considering the lack of experienced midfield bodies in our senior side.

Grab this opportunity with both hands and shake **** out of it.

Ok, so he's in. Good to see.

He's been racking them up at VFL level.

I'll throw this question onto our main board if no-one gets onto this here.

Has anyone got any specific comments/insights into Sam's disposal efficiency, composure in traffic, and defensive pressure?????

Edit--Also, can he slot em?

I posted this in player watch, and all's quiet over there.

How good would he be feeling right now? to finally achieve his dream, which was all but gone a year or two ago.

Congratulations Sammy, awesome effort to keep persisting like he has.

Hopefully, we don't give Gibbo the vest and dump him when he doesn't perform (like Scott has done with Mullett).

You forgot to mention "after making the sub late in the game".

Yep, that'll bug.

(Again.)

He's just as light as some of the kids we have running around. I expect him to do well and wish him the very best but he won't change anything when we play the experienced midfields.

Weight doesn't correlate directly to strength. His core will be stronger that most of our mids, and his ability to run out games will be better. Lets hope he can find the pill.
