Keeps this form up and maybe the Rising Star isn’t as clear cut as everyone thought it’d be at the start of the year...

Rising star rules 15.1.3 states;

" Any North Melbourne rookie from interstate who becomes the best young player in his 2nd season shall be ruled ineligible for the award as Carlton obviously have drafted the best young player at no. 1 "

The irony is that they have all the #1 draft picks, these blokes are the rising stars, and they are still bottom of the ladder. Imagine if the get Scotts as coach. Hoju will have the next 10 years to hang shit on them.

Apart from Gagff, but that was on a bloke with the ball who couldn't possibly defend himself in the circumstances.

Let's be honest, it was a flukey reaction punch.

I had another look as I'd honestly forgotten exactly how it happened. It was off the ball. Maybe Brayshaw made a nasty comment about Gaff's mum or something.

Anyway, he is only a visitor to WA so I shouldn't have mentioned him anyway.

He threw a blind punch that had little timing or technique and just happened to glance Brayshaw in the sweet spot.

I reckon Gaff was more amazed than Brayshaw.

If that's Gaff's idea of boxing technique, then there's suburban gyms all over Australia filled with novices that would punch ten shades of shit out of him.

Cam has kicked 12 goals so far this season. By my reckoning, that makes him our second highest goal scorer so far this season.

Not bad for a rookie.

He's been great but 12 goals after 11 rounds being our second highest tally is not great.

Zurhar has only played 8 of the 11 games. Going at 1.5 goals a game is a very solid return from him. wood has played 9 and Larkey 6 so we don't have a second forward that has played all 11.

23 pressure acts. Not sure where the 66 came from.

His form in the pre-season was pretty ordinary, chalk and cheese to how he is going in the real stuff.
Broken legs will do that to ya

Yeah that's kind of my point.

Just kind of points to how poorly we started the year and how Brad didn't seem to know his best forward line structure. He was still trying to convert Ziebull into a CHF for the first few rounds.

Over the past 5 matches, our four main forwards have collectively kicked bags of 10, 8, 4, 11, and 10. On that small sample size every time they register double-figures we win. Might become a telling stat for us over time.

Wood, Zurhar, and Larkey all look like they could all kick at least 25 goals this season, especially if we play the rest of the season more like the last five rounds than the first six.
