Trump dropping the FISA warrant means one of three things:
1) he's lying. Again.
2) FBI has committed a Watergate-level offence.

Now, considering there's actually a warrant instead of just tapping...it's either 1 or 3 for mine.

OK, true - but where has this been for the past 6 months? Lots of "unnamed sources" .... at best I've seen a few disclaimers at the very end of the article when the subject is Trump.

I'm saying the amount of skepticism changes dramatically depending on which narrative is being pushed. Trump makes this wire-tapping claim & suddenly everyones a skeptic, the headlines make it clear that it's an unsubstantiated claim - even more so than, for example the whole goldenshower thing which was far more ridiculous. Goes for both sides so I guess I'm stating the obvious, but Fox at least gets called out on it - the liberal media not so much.

I have been having the same thoughts for a while.
Lets be honest if they took Twitter off of him then half , well 90% of his problems would minimize. He would be seen as a President struggling to get people nominated who has made some EOs , but I don't think there would be half this outrage and derision for him

Go back 12 months and look at just how carefully Obama used Twitter. It was an extension of the message. Trump is obfuscating the message at every turn.

I think the challenge here for Trump is that he's pushing either Watergate 2.0 or a false narrative.
It's outside the powers of the President to 'order' a tap. FISA warrants have to be approved by a judge. For a FISA warrant to be approved in October against a Presidential nominee the standard of evidence would have to be extraordinarily high. What's more, Trump can actually release the warrant anyway - the President has declassification authority. For Trump to shoot his mouth off like that is extraordinary.
