How absolutely stupid was that shooter? I don’t know wtf they wanted out of this. Trump survived and he will be painted as a hero against the ‘radical left’ by the right. They will now conflate the attack on Trump as an attack on the US itself. They’ve given them a new rallying angle.

Win or lose the election, the shooter has now taken this battle to a new level.

The shooter came within 1-5 centimetres of achieving their aim of killing Trump. Had they succeeded, I'm sure they'd be pretty pleased. Come to think of it, they might have seen Trump go down, and then be killed themselves almost immediately without ever living to hear confirmation that Trump had died.

My question is with the new footage the snipers appear to already be looking & aiming directly at the shooter for at least a 5-10 seconds prior. They reacted within seconds because they were already aiming at him.
Not really knowing how these things work but perhaps he should have been taken down prior to getting off a shot?
