He was reasonable yesterday IMO, not good, not shit, did some good things and did some bad things. Perhaps he overthinks at times because when he does things quickly they are generally pretty good but he still makes some real wtf decisions when he has time.

Yep, I'm seeing it. Should take all of our kick outs. I know it was only against Shitmond but a couple of times he hit targets well beyond the defensive 50 from the kickout. Aaron Mullet used to do that and I don't think we have anyone else capable on our list. Very good form and should be starting on the field next week.
Yep make Jacobs our designated kickout person untill dal and Mullett get back.
Most effective at it atm

On what I've seen thus far, I think Jacobs' problem has been confidence more than anything. He stuffs up in close because that's not his thing but when allowed to play in his rightful position he's not too bad. He should definitely be the designated kick out and his skills are great when he's able to pin point his kicks. Unfortunately at the moment the blokes who should or would normally do the blocking and hard shit are down in form.

As close to a lock in the team as he has ever been.

Out: Jacobs (omitted)
Late changes: In: Jacobs (Out: the one we said earlier in the week).
Repeat

Wow. Can't believe the positive write ups. He was poor when hear is on.

Liability with terrible positioning and if ball in hand, makes stupid decisions.

I now understand why Scott wants to drop him at first opportunity, for once I'm on his side.

Staggering.

Just got back from Hobart and he was easily one of our bests, easily. He and Wright give us some bounce from half back and are both good quality ball users in space.

Ben has a problem in that I think his team mates have not built trust in him.

They often ignore him as an option.

If this is indeed the case (to be honest not 100% sure; some of his leads are a bit iffy) then the fact that he still manages to consistently rack up the ball is putting many of our other mids to shame.

That kick 5m to Firrito from the kickout still has me mindboggled.

It wasn't great (pretty sure it was Wright though), but to his defense no one at all was moving.

He definitely could have followed up better knowing it wasn't going to be paid a mark!

Anyone not liking his development, are simply trolling, not too dissimilar to kangatime and his trolling of Thomas!

Or will never be satisfied.

He's definitely improved, but I'm not sure the composure will, I hope I'm wrong. Could be confidence issues as well

Do you think he is outperforming LMac thou? Would you replace him with JMac? serious question.

For mine it's, yes, and hell no.

LMac uses it poorly at times but is tough and solid defensively. JMac not great defensively but better than Jacobs with ball in hand (even though still can butcher it) plus is much smarter/aware.

So for me it's no and yes. I honestly don't think Jacobs will hold his spot next week if JMac is fit.

Some of his play and positioning in front of our stand was under 12s stuff, just awful and not up to standard.

Not really. Scott continues to drop Jacobs so there is no reason to point finger at supporters when it's the coach who makes the decisions.

You and PezD etc are massive Scott fans so it's very hypocritical to make such statements about me when your man sees it the same. Which is it??? If I'm so stupid then Scott is also.

The coach drops Jacobs at first opportunity, after seeing him in person i can see why. I'd expect JMac to come in this week.

remarkable that people can talk about BJ and not pat him on the back for fantastic direct long kicks
and that great bit of play where he got tackled, hung on to it then passed to LT
plus his hands are good

pluses def outweighing minus at present

Have not been a Jacobs fan at all but the last couple of weeks he has really come on.

His intensity is up and his defending has been pretty good. Got back on numerous occasions to fill the hole yesterday.

Also I never knew he had such a good kick. They were laser like.

Good to see him growing in confidence and hope he goes on with it. No one else in our side has taken a step up bar Goldy and Brown.

What makes me a Scott fan?
