Past #5: Curtis Taylor - delisted after 68 NM games/30 NM goals - almost got Harry Styles in a NM jumper - thanks Curtis

If CT does find another club and turn out well for them, you’d have to say that’s another nail in the coffin for our development…

I feel like getting ragdolled by Tsatas is the real nail on the coffin for Taylor’s AFL career.

My concern is always when I see a player described as a "medium forward who may run through the midfield in the future". Those kind can tend to dominate underage leagues, but struggle come the AFL unless they're very special (EG: A top 5 pick like DeGoey). They just get caught in-between positions, so to speak.

I always think of Ben McKinley, Ben Lennon & Stewart Crameri as the prototypes of that description! Let's hope this kid is more (a fit) Taylor Garner instead.

Put it this way, I'll be keeping a close eye on the comparison between Taylor & Zac Foot (who went to the Swans 5 picks later) in coming years!
Seen a query on his speed. Any feedback on his athletic traits?
Two good calls the day he was drafted

Yep... and we've continued to draft medium forwards ever since! I can't recall the exact year Scott Clayton joined us, but I get the feeling he may be behind these choices, as he tended to lean that way earlier in his stints at the Dogs & Suns (I reckon he still believes Jarrad Grant can win a Brownlow).

On the flip side, we won the Curtis Taylor vs Zac Foot side of that decision.

I hope we offer him a spot in the vfl team.

He’d have to be stupid to stick around at the club that delisted him.

Or the flip side is that his cushy day job has been taken away and realises he needs to put in required effort to make it at the level. I’d say the talent is there.
Yep, he is part of a group of players who seem to see performing on-field as secondary requirement, with social media, attendance at gala events, and invites to VIP areas seemingly the #1 priority of being a NMFC AFL player.
