The last number 5 who played for Oakleigh, also went into his draft year as the number 1 favourite and had his season ruined by injuries which benefited us in getting him.

Hopefully the next number 5 is a tall forward.

There's one key thing a talented player needs to have in order to impact from the get go in their career: a good tank.

FO'S has that.

The second thing that's helpful is a body that's a close to ideal playing weight - FO'S is basically at ideal playing weight. He could do with some more muscle, but he'll be good to go from the start.

Can't wait to see him in full flight next year.

The above is the reason he did not go 1. He averaged a respectable 22 last year at Coates league level so I’m not too concerned. May never be a big clearance player but that’s ok with all his other weapons.
