Am a fan, he can play.

Copped a shirtfront in the Darwin game early 2020 & since then wasn’t as physically competitive...

Has trade value so that’s that, wish him the best.👍

Lets hope we can at least snare a reliable player in return, not expecting miracles but a team player that can contribute more constantly.Wish Sam all the best

Really disappointed.

Unfortunately there's too many slow players in our midfield so was a long shot there with us.

I reckon we'll see him flourish at WC.

No Plan B; run ons by opposition teams of 5+ consecutive goals; playing players out of position; playing favourites. All amalgamates to form a legacy to me.
um........even introvert microbes at the bottom of the mariana trench know teague has left the club...........

I think most of us could see this coming.
  • Played out of position for the last two years
  • Is a natural ball-hunter forced to play as an accountable backman
  • If anyone heard him talking to Syd Jackson during our tribute to Syd, you could hear how upset he was to be playing down back
  • Dropped numerous times
  • Played as the medical sub countless times
When this happens young players (he's 23 y.o) naturally feel homesick.

I am a fan of Samo's. Really think he has the tools/skills/game sense to be a top level midfielder. Yes - he's not overly quick. Yes - he seems quite laconic. But at his best I think he is an asset to any team.

Unfortunately we have whipped the life out of him, so his only option (as he see's it) is to go home and start afresh.

Hoping we can make this a good trade for us as I can see him becoming a very good player for West Coast.

Clearly teague did not help his career however if he's leaving due to a coach who's already been sacked then he's not real bright.

Good luck to him. However he has clearly flatlined or gone backwards after his early promise, even when played on ball.

I would take west coast second and run. Looks like West coast are not concerned about Brander leaving so if he's on our radar I would do that separately.

i don’t reckon we’re getting a straight 2nd for SPS.

think we could leverage #25 to shuffle backwards a few spots but end up with Brander & Ladhams. (Addresses two problems and stays in the 2nd).

Rather give sps away for free. Cannot football
And at the moment either is SPS - You get what you can get.
Petruccelle - Later starter to footy, has leg speed and an ability to kick goals. He's 22. Fills a need in our list if he progresses.
Isaac Smith made his AFL debut at 22 years old.

Your thoughts on a suitable trade?

Samo vs Cerra in their 3rd seasons (both turned 21, although Samo played the year as a 21yo and Cerra turned 21 after the season ended).
Samo was tracking beautifully in his first three seasons. Perhaps he could have handled his shift to HBF and demotion to the VFL differently, soldiered on and demanded a spot back in the midfield though his actions, but I won't hold anything against him.
Just wish him well, hope he can go on to fulfil his potential, and hope we can get a reasonable return under the circumstances, although we have nobody to blame but ourselves for getting a poor return.

If those stats are correct confirms my thoughts about Cerra….
we have a number of high draft midfielders that were given very little opportunities the last couple years…keep pick 6 or turn it into 2 second round picks.

Liam Duggan thanks.

Sad to see a player with the type of tools he possesses in his game, for a few reasons, couldn’t quite put it all together, if only…
Disappointing to see him go but hopefully a fresh start, under a different coaching program, in a different system can bring the best out in him…
Not surprised at all…
All the best Samo…

Petruccelle plays scared, doesn't tackle & doesn't get his hands on it. He's Jeff Garlett minus the hurt factor..

Pick 29 I feel is about right. But who knows. WC might get creative and offer up Brander and a third or we could include McGovern somehow.

SPS is going to be a good get for WCE. Teague never rated the kid so it's no wonder that he wants to move on for a fresh start.

WCE will get him next for basically nothing as he had little trade value based on his performance this year (regardless that he was played out of position, sub etc).

All the best SPS, sorry to see it didn't work out at CFC
