Sorry to taint this thread with this list. But you know what I mean when I say "Really all those blokes went Number 1? Most of them should be embarrassed when they look at JHF."

Since 2014 it looks like "the mail" has been a lot more accurate re pick 1.

Great start to the season from Ben Keays 👍

I'm not going to go into the skills and such side, I think his baseline it just fantastic of course and look forward to that development.

But the elite part of his game that has shown the most is his mental. I mean the kid has no fear, no hesitation, no matter what part of the game or what situation, its just raw, clinical, and aggressive decision making. Wonderful.

I loved how he weaved through traffic numerous times on Saturday, even delivering some very smart grubbing kicks down the line. His high footy smarts mean that he is often thinking two or three steps ahead of not only the opposition, but his teammates too.

He copped a bit yesterday as well - stuff that might have been paid as frees to plenty of other players. He stood up to it every time and gave a bit back as well. Don't see him getting too much protection from umpires but I also don't see him asking for it either.

Wants to play in a successful side ?

Don’t understand the rhetoric around looking to go to a ‘successful side’ after 4 rounds.

Every single #1 draft pick (except if Academy or FS) is by definition starting their career with the previous season’s worst team, and all end up extending their initial contract. Can’t see why this would be any different with JHF.
