"The Rat" may still be a NMFC player next year. And if he sorts himself out, he might be for longer. Probably unlikely, but let's see what plays out. If NMFC plays this smart, JHF might be the best thing that happened to us.

I know I said he might be "the most hated NMFC player ever by NMFC people." But emotions have cooled, and whilst I think what JHF has attempted here is piss poor, let's just see how this plays out...

Imo if a deal doesn’t get done it is simply because Port do not value him enough to get it done.

Meaning we value him more than they do.

They don’t have the draft capital currently and as of right now are unwilling to move higher quality players in order to make it happen.

Port give up 33 and 43 for pick in 18-25 range from another club or another player from Port or 3rd party.
We'd want more than just pick 37 equiv between picks 1 and 2 for a contracted player.

What everyone seems to forget is these "quality players" don't want to leave. The player has to agree to a trade.
Well I’m sure port can be fairly persuasive if you want to be

Just like when burton was happy to stay at hawks but you got him over to port back home anyway

What clubs seem to forget is that they need to have the necessary trade capital to make the trades when they promise to recruit contracted players. The club the player is contracted to has to agree to a trade.

Are you suggesting that not a single player on Port's list of appropriate value couldn't be convinced to go to any other club in the AFL to get the picks in you need?

When Chris Judd was traded, Josh Kennedy didn't want to leave Carlton.

West Coast then started talking to Richmond.

You'll never guess what happened next.

That's OK. Not sure you Port types took much notice of his behaviour on the occasions when he actually got on the ground this year. The pouting and body language was awful. Telling a 287 game senior and highly respected player to GAGF, tells a lot about this kid. He thinks he's entitled. He hasn't proved anything yet. In fact he may turn out to be a SANFL prodigy that turns into just another good ordinary player.
A bit of Graham Cornes about him then.

He has already said he won't entertain a trade to them.

Once again, he has to agree to the trade 🙂

He also has to get to where he wants to go via the player movement mechanisms in place. If the crows finish below port next year, he can’t get to port unless north trade him, or the crows elect not to draft him in the national or psd under his nominated terms (let’s call that unlikely).

Maybe, if port don’t bend over backwards to pick him up with his kickinv and screaming and you lot leave him in the lurch where by he has to go back to Arden st with his tail between his legs, then he mat give your s**t truck mob the bird next year and choose the crows. So it really is important for Snort to cough up and get the kid now.

Tell ya what, I am almost content with sending this kid to the PSd or National Draft next year in return for absolutely NOTHING. I would buy an extra membership to the club if they had the balls to * you and this kid.

Pay up or * off

100% on board with this.
