Geelong stuck to their guns last year it has worked out well. If we set a huge price we either get that or keep Daniher. The huge price should be nice. If he stays I am very confident that a year back on the park building his relationships with the players and keeping the family happy will see him recommit to the club.

He is such a loved player from such a loved family at the club. It will be easy to sell to the fans regarding feeling doubts with all the time out of football.

The more it goes on I think he is gone. If we were going to hold him to his contract would we not just shut up shop and say "no trade"

Its the trade period. Our biggest trades always go until the last day. Im hoping the trade doesnt go through, but if a player asked to be traded i as a fan would hope that the club atleast tries until the last minute to get a deal done. You cant just say 'no deal' it would be completely unfair on the player.
 
There is some delusional thinking happen - You can't just ask for a happy and content player from another club like Heeney, Blakey, etc, unless you come up with a big salary in which EFC doesn't have cap space - For me it's filibustering - Either get serious about effecting a trade or stop discussions.

It probably is filibustering, but don't forget that if Joe is trading we won't have to pay him, so that would open up cap space anyway.

Just like last year he's going to make sure he gets his face and name everywhere then in the last hour he'll accept a deal he could have accepted day 1 of trade period. No wonder this loser has the reputation he has, and the results speak for themselves.

Hopefully your once great club rids themselves of him and can start behaving like adults again.

Hopefully he spits in the face of your club’s pissweak offers. He’s contracted to us, we need him, especially after the targeted recruiting we’ve done recently to have a crack at a premiership. Your mob needs to give us an offer we can’t refuse. Give us Heeney or Blakey and it’s fair.

You’re obviously anxious that this trade won’t happen... if it doesn’t you might want to get shitty at your own list managers who promised Joe the world but didn’t have the tokens to pull it off.
