Dodo is a clown. Pointless posturing that everybody knows is ridiculous. Just like last year he's going to make sure he gets his face and name everywhere then in the last hour he'll accept a deal he could have accepted day 1 of trade period. No wonder this loser has the reputation he has, and the results speak for themselves.

Hopefully your once great club rids themselves of him and can start behaving like adults again.
Someone seems a little bit upset? Like an angry swan after your last crust of bread as you are running away up the river bank laughing your guts out.

Two first rounders + Heeney and Parker to Essendon and Joey + 2nd rounder to Sydney will make you feel better about Dodo.

Oh man! Just imagine the Swans melts if they end up losing all of Papley, Florent and pick 5 and then Daniher breaks down pre-season! I'm going to need a huge box of popcorn🍿

I'd be happy with 5, a 2020 1st and Hewett for Joe, 33 and 65

5 would get us Kemp (even though he'll miss most of 2020 due to ACL) or Robertson

Hewett keeps improving each season and really blossomed this year with injuries to other Swans mids he stepped up.

Swans then have a plethora of 2nd and 3rd and 4th round picks to exchange with Carlton, the Dogs or the Saints who need picks BADLY to bring players in.

They'd have 25, 33, 44, 54, 62, 63, 65, 81 - add 9 for Papley!

Dont Sydney need their future first for academy picks?

In a situation like this, his job is to extract every bit of value he can from the asset (Joe Daniher). His job is not to be a good bloke, take the first decent offer that comes his way and make things nice and easy for all concerned.

So just like Sydney would have started low, we start high. At a point, we may or may not meet in the middle but both teams are undoubtedly trying to “win” the trade. It’s called a negotiation - grow up.

If Dons were to get players in return for Joe (in addition to #5), guys like Heeney are born and bred in NSW and would never want to shift to Melbourne.

Florent is small bodied but was playing great football at the end of 2019. Lots of run and 2nd and 3rd efforts. And he is a Melbourne boy. Reckon he would improve us next season.

Jordan Dawson is big bodied and played some great football as well, including their best wins late in the season when he played in the midfield. He had previously been injury prone but 2019 played most games and had a breakout year.

Why are you in such a hurry. Relax and let go, you’ll enjoy it more.

How embarrassing.

Dodo doing a serious number in these swans supporters. They can’t even sleep.

Literally up at midnight melting about him.

A big part of negotiation is needs discovery. There's no way Harley and Sydney could know what Essendon were going to need -or what it would take - to do a trade for Joe when they tuned him up last year.

Now they know and apparently they have to go through their ranks to find a player to get the deal accross. It's a bit trickier than flinging us a couple of pics but that's why the trade period is as long as it is.

If this is actually how this is going down then Dodo will be working hard on getting a result with them as well I would imagine - he's already stated the player doesn't need to be a forward.

As for who? I'm not sure why players born in NSW would be automatically ruled out?. I'm sure plenty of NSW kids grow up wanting to play for a Melbourne club.

Ahhh....accepting the Shiel deal at the last hour as opposed to trying to retain our best player are two completely different concepts.

Get off the piss & stop posting diarrhoea.

I mean if they thought anything like 5+25 would suffice they're delusional and not very good at their jobs.
I think part of the problem is that they don't really need Joe. They would be better off going to the draft and getting in midfielders themselves. Sometimes you are better off leaving a half opportunity alone - in this case they may have gotten greedy (given their penchant for mature opposition gun key forwards) and thought they'd snap up a bargain....

If that's the case then they have bought themselves attention they don't need. In part it explains all the crying going in over on the Swans board as well. Some of the smarter ones actually see how they may have boxed themselves in.

They don't need him from a list perspective, but from a marketing one they definitely do. You think they're gonna push Blakey's rude head to the sydney public?

If they didn't need Joe then they wouldn't have spent half a year engaging in subterfuge to poach a contracted player.

No sympathy for their position for mine.

I reckon Sydney would love to get him but are not phased if they don’t. They got Buddy for pick #18 and expected more of the same (favourable trade deal) from Daniher.

As for Daniher, I’m pretty pissed off with him requesting the trade while he is still under contract. He has been paid the big bucks and was respected by all at the Club and was placed onto our 5 man leadership group. What has he given us? What help did he give our younger players as part of that group.

He is an A Grader, All Australian, Best and Fairest, 4 time leading goal kicker, ANZAC Day medalist etc etc and 25yo about to reach his peak.

According to Goddard he made a half hearted attempt to get himself over his injury. He trained enough to make the Elimination final. But pulled out. He may have planned to leave for bigger bucks a long time ago. This talk of getting out of the limelight by moving to Sydney is rubbish. Sydney has 5 million people and they almost all know Buddy... who stood out of football for a season to escape the pressure. Daniher will be equally well known if he moves there.

Essendon has every right to ask for a top line player if he is to join the Swans. He will almost definitely set them on fire up there taking speckies and kicking goals from inside the centre square.

There is one trade I'll accept.

Essendon give up Daniher and get McKay in return.

Sydney give up Papley and their first round and get Daniher in return.

Carlton give up McKay and get Papley plus Sydney's first.

I wouldn’t give up McKay for Papley plus a first. Kid is going to be a very good player.
