He's been serviceable in the role he is playing. Brilliant ? Kidding yourself as usual.

there's been moments of brilliance ... or at least real class and footy nous
he's still a kid, still learning and developing ... but surely you concede he's going the right way
he'll get bigger and stronger over the next 2-3 seasons and preseasons ...
and more confident, as his teammates get more confidence in him

His frill-neck lizard celebration / acknowledgement of Blakey after a goal was high calibre stuff.

Charlie Cameron & his motorbike have stiff competition from Logan.

Could get into Akermanis hand-stand territory.

Stop comparing him , he will be himself

I get your point that you don't want to compare a young bloke to set unreasonable expectations or to knock him if he's missing certain attributes i.e. he doesn't get as much of the ball as a young Pavlich did.

I don't think there's anything wrong with using a comparison to project what type of player they might turn into. McDonald's game reminds me a fair bit of Pav.

He was doing Van Dijk's celebration I think. Gulden is a huge Liverpool fan and since last year hes gotten the whole team on board. I remember they were singing a few chants after the QF.

Nah, pretty sure it was the Lizard - Blakey took off and delivered the ball to Logan, who acknowledged it post-goal.

He is heading in the right direction which you would hope for a high and very valuable draft selection. I do think he is going to be a slow burn though which will amount to him being a very good AFL footballer. Having said that people who are expecting superstar will be disappointed I think. Granted Early days though. Next year will be telling.

Below are the season by season statistics of some recent very good tall forwards. In order we have Nick Reiwoldt, Jack Reiwoldt, Tom Lynch, Jeremy Cameron and Jarryd Roughead.

A 20 game 32 goal third season absolutely shows that he is on a cracker of a trajectory. Well on track to be a very good player.

He’s 21 years old and already performing solidly.

By age 25, he’s an absolute gun.

At this stage Has shown nothing more than he may be a very good AFL Player in the future. Come back to Me when he is a Superstar because I will happily bow to your wisdom Your Majesty.

Happy to put the dick on the line

will be an all Australian forward, hopefully here

He's not touching the ball that often, but when he does, things happen. Whether it's crumbing his own goals, or setting teammates up with smart handballs or tap-ons, his ground level work is excellent. And he's very good working up the ground - just probably lacking a bit of size and fitness to do it consistently and really take a game by the scruff of the neck.

He's averaging 0.5 goal assists and 5 score involvements a game. For a young key forward that is excellent.
