Nah DR is wrong i've seen R4E do stuff way more courageous than that

Wait, I was taking the piss with my first post. I never said Power's hit wasn't courageous, in fact, I was at the game and nearly got in a fight with a few Geelong fans defending Power's courage.

But anyway, whatever, I'm a bit confused, think I misinterpreted what DR meant.

I think you are confusing yourself with Sam Power. You know the bloke who showed more courage in one marking contest than you have in your entire life.

Unfortunately though, that's the only courage he has shown since surviving in his mothers womb.

Didn't stop me from posting this pearler at the time.

Back in the days when the Sam Power bandwagon was suddenly so full that it was struggling to get out of the station.

Ziebell working Hill over happened right in front of us. It was awesome. Mate turned to me and said nine is three times better than three.

Ziebell is already one of our best ball users. Says a lot about some of the other midfielders getting around.

In what quarter was this Ziebell v Hill contest?

I caught the end of burst G.Lyon was giving JB about the clubs handling of Jay-Z at the end of the game. I was fearing the worst and assumed he wmust have been injured or something. However I have heard nothing further, so must be wrong (thank G).

Anyone know what they were referring to?

There was one contest on the Medallion wing in the last quarter where he was buggered, trying to run but couldn't, hunched over, arms dangling - he was stuffed.

He could of been injured, or it could have been a bloke who's been punching well above his weight for 3 months who just need a rest.

Probably the latter.

Haven't you heard mate? Players aren't allowed to be exhausted anymore. That's why we need 4 ruckmen.

I think the season has taken it's toll on young Jack - he was sore last Sunday and looked very sore yesterday. He needs a rest - next week would be the right time IMHO with several players coming back from injury and the week off the following weekend.

Let's see him come back in after the break refreshed.

Its is clear that he needs a break. What he has done so far is fantastic. Considering he has done half a pre season and he said himself he isnt the fittest guy running around.

With some guys comming back from injury, would be good to see him fresh and raring to go in the second half of the year.

Much ado about nothing.

According to JB on TFS today there's nothing ongoing with Jack at all. He copped a heavy knock early which resulted in the massive corkie and he valiantly fought on for the rest of the game despite the enormous physical restriction.

Once the corkie's healed up he'll be fine.

Lyon, being the pussy he is, saw that Ziebell wasn't quite right after a knock and Ziebell was trying to run it off. Lyon suggested we were doing the wrong thing by not pulling the pin and not playing him ANYMORE FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON.

We know Lyon would have preferred to see Ziebell flat on his back and getting stretchered off, but the kid has more stones than Lyon ever had.

Jack got a knock, then was having issues with cramp late in the game. The kid wants to play. As long as we are not risking him for next season and future seasons why would we deny the kid the chance to play. It is no newsflash, players get knocks all the time, he is learning to push past the pain barrier, something Lyon never managed to achieve and why he never passed beyond being a good talented player.

Ziebell has the desire to be better than mediocre. Doctors/club should only step in if he is injured or might do more harm than good in playing.

Lyon was a superstar.

He was no superstar but he wasn't mediocre either. Lyon was a very good footballer who stood out in a very shite team.

They actually played finals footy 7 of the 13 years he was on the list.

They were generally a very good side in those days - particularly in the late 80's/early 90's. I was actually there the day he snagged 10 in the final versus the Bulldogs in 1994 - think they won by almost a ton that day.

Had those 10 by the 20 minute mark of the 3rd quarter to, was rested the whole final quarter.

Wouldn't take much from anything Lyon says.

You have to remember the guy is too much of a pussy to take on a coaching role. Shouldn't comment on how a side is coached until he has the stones to actually take on the job himself.

His media role is just an excuse to hide from the fact that he is either too chicken shit or knows he hasn't got the goods to do the job as a coach.

Garry Lyon - very good footballer who has been vastly overrated by the passage of time.

If Schwarter hadn't have done 107 knees, he'd have been three times the player Lyon was.
