Will be a little disappointed if he doesn't back up this talk with a good performance against Fremantle this week.

Jack was last week's NAB Rising Star nominee, hence the interviews. I've seen all of them and heard the radio ones too, and he's been as humble as anyone I've heard in the media for awhile. He hasn't talked himself up at all, in fact diverting the accolades towards the team rather than himself.

So, backing up his words will mean he'll have to continue to do whatever's required by him to perform his team role to the best of his ability!

Yep, You can see the future captain in him with all of he's interviews.

He handled them brilliantly.

I know what you mean r_boy. Jack Z is getting a bit too ahead of himself if you ask me.

Ru serious how is he getting ahead of himself all the stuff i have seen he hasnt once claimed anything other than he has got a lot of work to do he is not fit enough or has to work hard just to stay in the team . Even his rising star nom he played it down to the hilt A very humble well grounded kid for mine bloke for mine and handles himself well in interviews. He's a least got a bit of charachter rather than an um err no personality type you usually get.

Enough is enough. Jack's errant pass that resulted in the Haselby goal is simply not good enough. Drop him now Dean.

The message needs to be made to the young Joeys running around for North now. Ross, Wright, Goldstein, Warren, Grima and Thompson to name a few, if you have not made it by 15 games your out the door. Maybe a public stoneing of the youngsters may spur them on to better things?

There is nothing wrong with some positive critique on a players game, but some of the expectations on here are downright ludicrous. They are kids learning how the game is played at the highest level. Let them get a few games under the belt before sinking the slipper in.

Delist or trade for 3rd rounder.

Has anyone noticed that the disposal mistakes the young guys are making - Jack, Scotty Thompson, Levi - have generally been because they've been trying to kick the ball inboard rather than going safely around the boundary?

It says two things to me - one, they are trying to take heed of the instructions they are receiving and two, these kids coming ionto the side are exactly the type of risk-takers we need.

I suppose the third thing is that everyone needs to work on their kicking - even The Great Ziebell.

I am also quite sure that apart from his rubbishness against Geelong, the key reason Ed was playing VFL this week is because if his terribly safe decision-making that saw him kick sideways under heat a couple of times last week.

I hope the kid doesn't read BF and not realise this is a piss take.

definately a piss take if you do read this Jack. I think it would be fair to say everyone is loving your work. :thumbsu:

Our youngsters are showing promising signs early and good to see guys like Greenwood busting his hump for the 'Bees to get back in the side.

Saw the clanger - it was probably the best of the day. I said to my footy buddy - geez - he is human!
Played well again. For one so young he just looks like he belongs out there.:)

Two pieces of play stood out for me.

1. The pick up and kick to Wells that he drilled into his chest from one side of the sqaure to the other. Class.

2. The one on one with Stephen Hill in which he literally moved him aside with one arm, grabbed the ball, and found a target.

He has captain written all over him.

when it happened didnt drop his head...just got on with it....when he has the ball he is so composed and his kicks arent these airy fairy hospital jobs...he kicks with purpose...doesnt hit every target but he is going to be good...for a very long time....

Yep, and I just want to thank you for continuously defending me on this board. :thumbsu:

I think you are confusing yourself with Sam Power. You know the bloke who showed more courage in one marking contest than you have in your entire life.

Wow.

You really do take this seriously.
