I feel for the person doing subtitles for the hearing impairedI don't expect every commentator to be as eloquent as Peter Drury or Dennis Cometti but Dave Warner will need plenty of polish before his commentary career begins.

Does Steve Smith play the William role as they tell their story that none of his issues were his fault?almost expecting Fox to offer the Warners a reality show, any tick of the clock now.
Versus all those other documentaries they’ve made like ummm, errr, hmmmm….ALLAN BORDER: MY STORY THE HIGHEST
RATING DOCUMENTARY SERIES
I wonder in what context and compared to what.
I have always said that 7’s Test & Women’s coverage has been good and it’s their BBL that’s been lacking.
But after having watched Fox yesterday & today/tonight, how do people put up with them saying “Toyota 6” & “Chemist Warehouse 4” in normal play after every boundary?
i prefer the ads on 7 after every over than hear that after every boundary. Especially in a high scoring games like the last 3 matches
And do so knowing it would likely mislead or deceive customers, i.e. clear sanctionable conduct.
To me, as a customer, no ad-breaks means no ad-breaks.And do so knowing it would likely mislead or deceive customers, i.e. clear sanctionable conduct.
Channel 9 didn't mug you for $25 a month (assuming Kayo and not a full Foxtel plan) with its shit sponsor attachments. All you get from the "ad free" BBL coverage is a DJ playing doof music between overs. It's scarcely believable people pay that much when the commentary isn't any better than 7.To me, as a customer, no ad-breaks means no ad-breaks.
To think that anyone would be upset about a Toyota Six when we grew up with Schweppes Classic Catches, the Sidchrome Supertest Team and Tony Greg's Weather Wall for Email Air Conditioners is scarcely believable.
Radio is different because people can’t see the ads, with tv they can have silent ads without needing to say it after every boundaryCommercial radio does it because there are commercials on commercial radio. That's why it's called commercial radio.
Fox lures customers on the basis of their self-purported ad-free coverage. The ACCC "watchdog" sound asleep in Rupert's lap yet again.
most of the interviews/mic'd up players add very little to the coverage. It's more of a 'look at me' moment for the interviewer/commentators.I was pretty annoyed at Fox deciding that the opportune moment to do a coach interview in the Scorchers/Renegades match was during the Power Surge. It's not exactly the slower part of the game where you might expect to be able to pad.
Unless you have a captain like Khawaja/Finch talking to the bowlers for an overmost of the interviews/mic'd up players add very little to the coverage. It's more of a 'look at me' moment for the interviewer/commentators.
I can see Warner being very outspoken once he retires from international cricket
For AFL they have guys like Adam Papalia, Will Schofield and Pavlich already based here.
Fox commentators always * up mistaking probable catches for sixes because they can't see anything out of the TV shot. You'd think they'd be better than 7 given they charge you for it but embarrassingly they're not.
