Can we make Copeland mayor of Sydney so they can * that know nothing talentless hack off.

Man starts career as 5th grade wicketkeeper batsman, takes up medium pace bowling at 20 and is good enough at it that he finishes with 400 first class wickets from 100 games in two countries at 25, 2000 first class runs including a century and represents his country.

Fairly sure he knows what he’s talking about to at least some degree even if he’s not presenting with any great panache

Call it the Mel curse.

I was sat in the front row in M51 yesterday right next to where they set the broadcast up and can confirm she is stunning in the flesh too.

Say what you want about him as a commentator (and even a coach) but Justin Langer was very generous with his time yesterday during the lunch break.

I dare say Richard Illingworth agrees.

Pakistan players due to not being in IPL mean a lot there players have less of a profile.

Plus they are always chopping and changing around the fringes with Babar, Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi being the 3 most recognisable guys who are generally always there.
1. This is why they have names and numbers on shirts now (and they should be on the jumpers, too).

2. It's literally their job to know. And it's not particularly earth-shattering to jot down a few notes about some unfamiliar players, let alone do some research that means you know more than the people watching.

Big Dos revealed he won't be doing the Sydney test for 7.

Like him or not, David Warner has a very good cricket brain, and as someone who still plays at the elite level, his knowledge is far more relevant than most of the people we seem to pine for. Yeah, he sounds a bit rough, but most of the Channel Nine crew we grew up had voices that would grate at times, too.

When I heard him doing commentary last year - might have been for the BBL? He was surprisingly decent - and I hate Warner.

Stopped watching, came back and literallt first ball he says it. Im done, how do people with such limited vocabularies get these jobs. Beyond a joke

It’s not even just the vocabulary - it’s the fact that they have to keep wanking on about it. Yes we get it they play on a pitch that may or may not be a determining factor in the outcome of the game, both teams play on it, let them bloody well play and just shut up and commentate the delivery and the shot

Agree 100% but if you're going to keep discussing the pitch, throw in a different bloody word every now and again. Its maddening

Fox by a country mile with Smith, great calm caller, expert. And Isa Ghua, great comments person who is not over ruled by the mens commentary team.

Add "what it does do..."

And "the one thing that <insert player name> ..."
