Channel 7 have had consistently better coverage of Test cricket since both stations started doing it and the gap has only widened in my opinion.
I was about to come in here and say the gap is widening more but having had to listen to that last half hour of Matthew Hayden it may actually be quite close.

My most hated commentary pairing is still Healy and Slater in the dying days of Nines coverage.

Haydos and Warner are nowhere near those sort of depths of shitness.
And then they would put the Channel 9 version of Brayshaw in with them which is a lot worse than the Channel 7 version

Brayshaw used to bring his Tripe M persona over to Nine in those days, which was fine on The Footy Show but used to give me the shits during cricket coverage.
Still one of the best lines ever written about JB in his Channel 9 days
emotional depth of a sock puppet during a button shortage

Something I’m glad has happened with the new 7 graphics is that when they show a replay, they remove the scorebug. That was my biggest pet peeve with their coverage since they started. Now that’s gone!

Someone posted a video of him bowling in 1999 and he's either wearing a rug or his hair is very expensive to maintain these days.
There is no doubt

Warner>Hayden & Langer.

Come at me campaigners
Warner's not a good speaker but he does genuinely seem kind of cluey about the game, actually does try to analyse things and seems a little bit brighter than what the stereotype is. I have no idea what Hayden and Langer stand for beside trite cliches and banality.

If 7 gets rid of Hayden (who’s only doing first 3 tests) & Langer then I think their coverage is pretty good. Finch has been good, i think he’s only going 2 matches

This.
Warner reminds me of Luke Hodge. You can see they're actually analysing, or trying to, but struggle to enunciate it and don't have the best voice for commentary.
