Bailey Scott will play over 200 games for our club.
He has improved out of sight this season.
Has the potential to be our best father son.
Sure he will turn the ball over but nobody on here could name a player who hasn't.

And Last week he played a ripper against hawks? 26 disposals, 4 tackles and went at 73% disposal efficiently with only 3 turnovers. Played mainly down back but ran up to half forward to help out.

The week before he had another high 26 disposals and even better disposal efficiency at 77% and 528 metres gained. Pretty much saved us the game in the dying moments too. Busted his ass.

And this is as a defender! Only 22 years old ffs and only payed 50 games! Not only is he improving but we haven’t even seen all of his ability yet. Puts a bit more size on and get even fitter. Idk some of us on here are so quick to judge on emotions rather than facts.

Give the guy a chance to develop jeez

His issue is he is too careless when taking basic options. Short handballs too often fall at the feet of, or behind, the intended recipient.

Short kicks are too often wide of the target turning an easy mark, into a contest for possession.

He provides solid rebound and is often trying to be creative, but his basic disposal is lacking.

Did you watch the game or are you just looking at a stats sheet?

He was horrible against the Hawks, deadset liability.

If we extend him fine, but it's completely wrong to suggest he played well against the Hawks.

Problem here is you and others are so biased. Sure he makes mistakes but so do others. Let's see where he is in a few years time when the whole team is performing better.

I am not biased at all.

Look at the LDU and McKay (and other) threads, I give massive credit where it is due.

I don't rate Scott as highly as others and I am entitled to that opinion. If you think he is gun, then I welcome your opinion.

G
I tried to find the play by play highlights that used to be on the AFL app to validate what 'felt' like a lot of missed targets by hand.

Anyone know if they're still available anywhere?

Go to the match in the app, click on his frame in the "top player highlights" section, then click "extended".

Maybe I was too quick after the game to go looking.

Cheers!

Had a peek. 8/15 either missed the target, were below the knees or sold a team mate into trouble. Like a number of his team mates they seem to be physically weak when handpassing.

Shame he's not half a yard quicker, but he's improving. You've got this Bails!!!

Game was nowhere near as bad as made out to be. I feel like the backline as a collective (McKay aside and Flynn too) had a down day and nothing went right.
So long as he continues to play with assurance and backs his instincts in he’ll be fine.
His topsy turvy form is problem number 80 out of a 100 that we have right now. Backing him to bounce back this week.

Nah. He had a bit of a mare - a lot of handballs which left his teammates scrambling to collect the ball. He's had some good games this year, but that wasn't one of them and it is fair IMO to say that there was a lack of respect for possession. It's only one game obviously and he has time on his side.

Now. Everyone supports them.

But what about 3 or 4 years ago when they were developing? LDU has been coping it for years.

Like Scott is now.

hes a stick thin version of sam gibson unfortunately but faster

and if we axed every player who's not better than LDU we'd have a list of three, maybe four players. get real

That isn't what I suggested.

Problem is North supporters have such low standards after years of rubbish football.

I want a far higher standard than that.

Scott may or may not be part of that and no, Scott is not in our top 5 players as you are inplying.
