Great 2022 Bailey Scott!! Big Improver, gut runner, can also link up and can also shut down opposition mids and fwds playing a defensive role.

He runs hard to provide the option, uses the ball really well but gee sometimes we give it to him and he has no room because we don't shepherd.
If we are smarter when he takes possession he can do lots more damage.
We have a tendency on here to crucify young players who will perform better in an improved team and structure.

100%. Bailey sometimes the victim of having to make the kick into a totally dysfunctional forward line.
was terribly evident last week when larkey was running away from him further than he can kick, and he is one of the better kicks. larks went to spray him and he simply gestured come at me....

Is his disposal erratic or does he get sold into trouble a bit? A little column A and column B I reckon. The whole team make chronically bad decisions selling eachother into trouble.

His work rate can't be disputed though. Could become our Liam Shiels under Clarko?

I've watched the replay of the weekends game.
It has become apparent to me that this guy's improvement is off the charts since Noble's exit. How can a coach's approach stifle a players development to such extent? I'm amazed.
Gee, you are a masochist

I know that our list management team is virtually non existent at the moment, but why hasn't Bailey already signed up? Usually these extensions are locked away well before the end of the final contract year. I assume he's in talks with the club. Anyone know where this is at?

Larkey also completely stuffed up delivery to Zurhaar(?) during the game. A bit rich to throw shade when you are guilty of the same errors...

2 year deal imo.

Bailey is one of the success stories of the year imo, but there's no way anyone should be getting long terms deals not named Zurhaar, McKay, LDU, JHF atm based on team performance and the volatility of their performances year on year.

McDonald's 5 year deal for a bottom 4 side was laughable at the time and still is.

I hope 2 year deals to the likes of Ziebell, Mahoney and Lazarro will be dead in future.

Most of these guys should be kept on their toes with 2 year deals, yes it might work against us in 1-10 example but on the whole it wont.

I actually enjoyed it. I had forgotten that we were reasonably competitive for nearly 3 quarters.
At half time close to every statistical measure said we should have been 4-5 goals up. We weren't and then it went bad.

Unfortunately it turns out Clarko was only able to watch the second half :)

There was a clear moment in the third quarter when GC went to another gear, and we didn't or couldn't go with them.

Think it will only become clearer just quite how bad Noble was unfortunately.
